[RBW] Re: Smythe bag thingy
Oh, it occurs to me that the Sam Browne stud may be a rivet-style installation, while the button stud (a couple entries lower on that same linked page) appears to be a threaded arrangement. Seeing that, I'd go for the button stud even if just as an experiment. The prices are so low that you can probably get some of both and see which works better for you. It's funny, I wasn't a big fan of the Big Box throughout the time it was available. In retrospect, though, I can see the appeal. I lived with (to some extent, in) a SaddleSack Large for quite a while and found the massive capacity was handy. However, the Medium has advantages too; I'm very happy with it. But we'll see if winter (and all the layers it requires) teaches me anew the value of the Large's spaciousness. Thanks for the information..very helpful. The seller described it as large, which I don't see on the Rivbike site anymore, but it certainly * does* look like a big box. I'll get a pic together once my AHH gets here and built. Joe Bernard Fairfield, CA. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] Re: Smythe bag thingy
Yep. I'm slightly crazy to buy it 'cause I rarely carry enough stuff to fill it, but the price was right for a really nice piece of Nigel Smythe canvas and leather. Maybe it will get me in the habit of shopping by bike. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group.
