[RBW] Re: WTB: randoneur style bag for front rack

2022-10-13 Thread Andrew Turner
I've got a Ruthworks I'm trying to sell on eBay which will work great with
this rack. Here's the link to the
posting. It's basically new, used once, but I did cut a small slit in one
of the back pockets for an external battery that's been covered with some
tenacious tape. For RBW Group: 165 +shipping.

Cheers,
Andrew

Jon

I suggest you look at the Roadrunner bag VO sells. It was made with
grommeted holes in the back which match the holes in the VO decailluer.
Randonneur Handlebar Bag - Velo Orange (velo-orange.com)

I see they are sold out, but give them a call and see when they will be
in. I believe they are MUSA, so the wait should be short.

The VO decailluer is too short for standard Berthoud type bag ad does not
reach the leather strip typically on the back of the bag..

[RBW] Re: WTB: randoneur style bag for front rack

2022-10-13 Thread Slin
To follow up on Minh's questions - I also commute in SF, and I like to take
my bags off my bike if I lock it outside. So what's worked well for me is a
front rack with a Wald basket with a bag that sits inside.

Here's a sweet bag that's made locally too-

2022-10-13 Thread Minh
Hi Jon

congrats! are you asking for a bag that would work with the rack decaleur,
or one that sits on the rack--like the fabs chest?
Have you ridden a this bike (or another riv) with a large front bag? as a
fellow QB owner who loads a bunch in my front rack, the steering can be a
bit of a surprise!

enjoy, and welcome!
