[RBW] Woolpower, DeVold, Wabi Woolens?..

2016-11-16 Thread Surlyprof
I've not used wabi or devold but have been using a woolpower that I picked up
at Riv. It is great. Very light and I like the longer length in the back for
cycling. It was a little lighter weight warmth-wise so starting out is a
little cooler but then I don't feel the need to take it off as soon as I warm
up. Very comfortable.

I've not used Woolpower or DeVold, and my original issue Wabi jersey is a
few years old, but the Wabi is hands down the best jersey I've used, and
I've used many different brands. Thickish wool, quality seams, and I think
they've fixed the problem of the too high rear pockets.

I see that Wabi now has several types, but if my sample is any indication,
you can't go wrong with them.

[RBW] Woolpower, DeVold, Wabi Woolens?..

2016-11-14 Thread Max S
As the cold weather (slowly) approaches, I'm thinking of investing in a
quality wool jersey, hopefully one that's made from a denser, thicker
fabric, but comfortable without a base layer. These could well be mutually
exclusive attributes, but maybe there's some new magic out there in the
wonderful world of wool? Does anyone have first-hand experience with
Woolpower

or DeVold

that Riv sells? How do they feel compared with, say, Wabi Woolens

(their Winter Weight Jerseys), and are any of them wearable without a base
layer?

TIA!
