As long as you get a sales commision for it! :-)

Well, I was riding with a friend who hadn't biked in a year, and she was
getting faint on her Jamis commuter so we stopped and then got some coffee.
On the way back, she comments about how pretty my QB is, and since she's
slightly taller than me, I figure she can ride my bike without having me
 readjust the saddle size.

I nearly didn't get my QB back. :) She was surprised by how stable the QB
was (it was a bit lighter and had skinnier tires than hers) and rode it
again and again and just one more time around the parking lot? please?

Seriously, though, it was fun watching someone discover the joys of a Riv
bike for the first time. It's like a lightbulbs/fireworks/amazeballs moment.

So would it be risky if I told her she could ride the QB while I rode AHH
next time we go biking? (I would point her to the Riv site first,
 naturally...)

[RBW] on spreading the joy of Rivs...

2015-07-03 Thread Liesl
I was just out riding today with about a dozen girlfriends. They mostly had
hybrid type bikes and most were occasional riders. It was pretty cool because
Erin had her big 60 Cheviot and I had my little 46 Appaloosa which meant anyone
just about could take a Riv for a spin! Long chainstays and boscos like nothing
they'd ever seen much less ridden. Big smiles and comments like, I never knew
a bike could be so comfortable! The Cheviot (or, as we've come to call her,
the Big Girl) was quite a hit. We tried to interest a few in a
Clem/Clementine. It was great fun.
