Just taking a tip from Joe and have to say that even though this is a single TT the geometry is the same as the 52cm listed on the Rivendell geometry chart on the site. If you used Fatty Rumpkins or the Schwalbe tires that are around 42mm you could be pretty good on that size frame. I have a 52 Bombadil and with a 83 PBH there is plenty of clearance with Rumpkins or Marathons. Plenty of clearance like over 2 inches. If you are not going to use it as a mountain bike but more as a rough-and-tumble touring bike or an around towner then it is a great frame to go a little big on. Beautiful paint and a great price. I went up to the 56cm and it is right there but feel better stretched out, and I dont use it for MTBing either. The specs on the website are for max tire size I believe so at 79pbh you would be right there on the 52, all depends on how you like a bike to fit I suppose. I'm also a 79 PBH and the 52 cm Bombadil frame may be too large for me rather than too small. I think I fit a 48 cm Bombadil rather than a 52, but I'm not sure. Maybe that's what you meant...
