The MB-2 was sold this past weekend as a rolling chassis, so I still have the 
Jones loop bar cockpit for sale. I’ll create a new post for it with some pics

Thanks Mark! Those are some nice bikes you’ve got there too. They look almost 
identical in setup, did they both come to you that way? I’ve also got to admit 
that I’ve been enamored with your Huffy Racing bike. I’ve been using it as 
inspiration for putting together a similar build with a Specialized Expedition 
frame. 

For those curious, I checked out the old Bridgestone catalogs on Sheldon’s site 
for the geometry of the 1985 MB-2, and it lists the head tube angle as 70 and 
the seat tube angle as 68. I also found it interesting that the ‘85 and ‘86 
MB-2’s have the longest wheelbase of any Bridgestone model through the years. 
So for all you long-wheelbase lovers, this is the king of early Bridgestones!

Joe— I totally agree with you. My Atlantis is a thing of beauty to look at and 
ride, but these early MB’s have a great timeless look and feel to them all

Yes, there's no feeling quite like having a bike stolen! The first time, I 
was a bike messenger, it was my only bike, and I still had five packages to 
deliver. This one did not hurt as much as that did.

If you did all that work two years ago, I'm sure it's fine. I'll get back 
to you (if you still have it) once I decide whether or not to get an 
Appaloosa. This would be the much cheaper, 90% as good Appaloosa 
alternative.

I agree that bikes like these have fantastic, stable ride characteristics. 
The Trek 850 (48.5cm chainstays) was phenomenal with any load, front or 
back, as well as unloaded.

a great bike. I know the long wheelbase discussion recently has been somewhat 
polarizing, but I personally really like the ride of a longer wheelbase. It 
doesn’t have quite as long of chainstays as the MIT Atlantis (although they’re 
1cm longer than a Hunq!), but I was surprised at the similarities in ride 
quality between the MB-2 and the Atlantis. I really think whoever gets this 
will be really pleased with the bike. 

Ian— sorry to hear your bike got stolen. It’s happened to me before, and it’s 
one of the worst feelings I’ve ever experienced. The bike as it is now was 
built up about two years ago and has been maintained very well since then. The 
headset was cleaned and repacked, and I put in a brand new bottom bracket at 
the same time. Seat post and stem both were given a light film of Phil grease 
before insertion, and nothing on the bike is seized, stuck or frozen. Hope that
