I have a set, and they're pretty nice.  Didn't know Riv quit selling them,
bummer.

Hoping to find tights that are as nice!

Gotta say that my absolute favorite piece of gear were my woolywarm knee
warmers.  They were all I needed mostly.   Wore them constantly through the
winter, and they were just the right thickness to keep on underneath tights
when things got really cold (yeahh. I know.  "SF Bay Area cold").

I have not been able to find another pair of wool _knee_ warmers since they
finally wore out and failed.  (Pulled 'em up higher when on a brevet and
they split horizontally at the hole I'd ignored...gr).

Realize it doesn't directly help you, but if folks at RBW were looking for a
simple item to add back, that'd be my vote.

Joneswares material is thicker than Ibex, but the weave is more open, so the 
net 
result is comfort over a wide range of temperature. They are great to deal with 
as well.
