2012-12-21 Thread Pete Arundel
Neil has a point. In the UK, I would argue that although Neil is a prolific
tank builder I'd argue that I am a better designer and engineer and Phil is
a better innovator. Phil's paper mache construction was looked upon with
sceptical eyes but proved to be a brilliant method of replicating
complicated shapes without using expensive tools or unpleasant materials
such as glass-fibre and resin.
Without Neil I doubt that any tanks would ever have been battled in the UK.
I say this through gritted teeth but it's true . . .

Hey Neil,

Not to belabour (intentional) the point, but I had the sound off as I watched
that Ardwell video... serves me right for being too lazy to turn on the
speakers on my computer. Perhaps then I would have heard the accents, and not
needed to ask silly questions.

But look at the bright side of it all, it got us to reveal our sociological
difficulties!!

Perhaps we should rename the hobby RCTPAC, which stands for
RCTankandPsychologicalAssistanceCombat.com LOL.

So tell me, what's the count in the garage stable up to?

And I use stable to describe the size of your tank collection, not your
psychological status at the moment... LOL

Dave bemoan the point abit longer D.

why build a fleet (fleet? going naval now??) just build a tank that has a
large paintball capacity and go to town against them. all they can do is
make pretty sparks and puffs of smoke, where yours actually fires something.

Neil, i take it there's a link to their site?

any info on their source of parts for things like their tracks and wheels?

would be interesting to look over what they have for information for
building things or their source to buy from

Re: [TANKS] Re: Here's some more...!!

2012-12-16 Thread Dave D.
Hey Neil,

Funny, but I meant could you verify that it's most likely from SCOTLAND?!!
(Ardwell, Scotland?).

Perhaps, based on the shrubbery present, the look and composition of the mud,
and the prevailing weather conditions for the day...

But thanks for the input regarding infernoed jeeps...

I can confirm that setting a small jeep on fire will leave it in the exact
condition you saw in the film,
