Re: [RE-wrenches] Mate3s error vs. event log

2024-04-01 Thread Nick A Lucchese via RE-wrenches
Hello Kirk,

Does the client rely on the fully charged indicator anyway? Perhaps defeat some
of the settings that will satisfy the targets of the Flexnet? Maybe set the
“charged voltage” to something a few volts higher than your absorption set
point and/or take the timer all the way up to 240 minutes? It’s definitely
frustrating that some clients are scared to press any buttons on the Mate, even
that Events button can intimidate apparently!

[RE-wrenches] Mate3s error vs. event log

2024-04-01 Thread Kirk Herander via RE-wrenches
Hello All,

I have a customer with a OB Radian GS8048A, grid tied, which logs a
"charged parms met" message regularly. When it does, the event log LED on
the 3s starts blinking. My customer thinks it's an error, and calls me. I
Wish I could somehow defeat this event, and any non-error, from blinking
the event LED for everyone's sanity.

Charged parms met is not an error, but it's crying fire in a theater to
have this annoyance occurring. It happens several times a week. Is there
any way to keep non-errors from flashing the LED?

OB tech support is starting to have long lead times, so I am asking here
first. Thanks.

Re: [RE-wrenches] Plaques

2024-04-01 Thread Sam Haraldson via RE-wrenches
Lou,

It was mentioned among the myriad responses you got to this question but
it's definitely worth trying the custom placards from PVLabels.com.

https://www.pvlabels.com/custom-placards/

You upload a simple graphic through their website and they'll ship them out
within a day or two. We only use this service for when we need a directory
placard (e.g. a site map) which are 4x6 or 5x7 and cost around $30 to $45
per placard.

For textual-only custom labels we own a Hellermann-Tyton thermal label
printer that we bought six or seven years ago and has served us well.
Those together with standard PV label stickers are all we need for the work
we do.
