standalone mode??
The thing is thad I create a little scenario and I will use that the next
week but I didn't use mysql only sqlite from the standalone mode.

Now in spanish...

Tengo una pregunta, cuanto tiempo duran los objetos en el modo standalone?
lo que pasa es que la siguiente semana conectaré a varios alumnos para
mostrarles un escenario y no quisiera que se borraran los objetos.

Re: [realXtend] New user-many questions

2010-09-29 Thread Jonne Nauha
To use newer taiga, just install to a new path. Run config creator again and
copy opensim/regions/regions.ini from old to new servers. Or just copy all
the configs from old to new, but there are numerous in many different paths
and I dont bother to list them all (and cant remember off the top of my
head). Easiest to run config creator first with same DB settings so it uses
the existing DBs and copy regions.ini to get same region UUIDs that already
exist in you DBs.

As toni said taiga does not have rex auth/rex av storage out of the box,
those are separate servers you can DL from our webpage. Webdav avatars are
provided for OS accounts, this means going to user server console, writing
"create user", inputting stuff, login with the created account in Naali.
Adding a OS avatar to ether and logging into 8002 with that. Now avatar
editor will export to your webdav inventory and no old rex servers are
needed. Of course the appearance wont follow you to other servers, if you
want this then you might wanna setup an account at
http://world.realxtend.org/ and creating a realXtend avatar in ether with.

7. I havent seen that error before. I have however took myself to some
situations that I needed to nuke the DBs. This was when playing with prim
shape params out of the allowed range, presently you cant even do this in
Naali. There is no "ignore all errors" startup command as far as I know. If
this problem will continue to manifest please report more with full detailed
log to eg pastebin.

Btw. I am assuming on all above that you are using latest Taiga and Naali.
The webdav stuff wont apply to old viewer.

2010-09-29 Thread Jonne Nauha
Yeah that image is useless as is. Also the dumo file as I have made the
0.3.1 build in release mode and as such did not see any point to store the
.pdb:s. Once someone shows me the magic how to operate on the dump files
even with having .pdb:s I'll gladly stash them on next release and possibly
put the up on somewhere. Or is it possible to get the release branch, it
should generate exact same binary we have in the release installer? I guess
this could work.

ingenierofelipeurrego: Only thing I can think of if you are crashing right
after you login is storing config files. I'm not sure where they go in XP
but in newer windows systems its
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\realXtend\ether.
This user spesific place should be safe to store stuff (as in you have
write/read permissions) and usually the crashes were when writing something
into the install folder (if it was in eg. program files),
but this was on vista/win7 and nowadays we dont store anything there. I'm
not even sure if XP has ability to run apps in admin mode, but if there is
give it a try. You could check out the naali logs if they leave any trace,
they should be in C:\Users\\Documents\realXtend
