Hi.

Can you use canned green peas?  


Also can you make gravy from the mix you get in the grocery stores if you do 
not have left-over gravy?

 MONDAY'S MEAT PIE 

  


 Ingrediants:

 1/2 c. diced celery

 1/2 c. diced onion

 1/2 c. chopped green peppers (I use PickSweet Seasoning Blend -

 1 pkg.)

 2 c. cubed leftover beef (I use any meat that is convenient, but

 chicken  most often)

 1 c. cubed leftover potatoes (I use the frozen Hash Browning

 potatoes)

 1 c. cubed leftover carrots (I use chopped canned, if I don't

 have leftovers)

 1 c. green peas (Frozen work fine)

 4 slices dry bread, cubed

 1 c. gravy

  


 Directions:

 Brown celery, onions and peppers in hot fat(I use olive oil)

 Add meat, potatoes, carrots and peas.

 Add gravy and season to taste.

 Top with crumbs browned in butter.

 Bake in casserole 375 degrees, 30 minutes.

Hi Becky,
yes you may use canned peas, canned carrots, or whatever canned vegetable you 
wish.
Yes, you can use any kind of gravy as well.
It's really all up to you how you make your pie, this is just a demo, and you 
can add or take away what you like, and then you can make it your own pie.
