I am sorry to say that my computer died on Saturday. We endeavoured to
flash the bios and it did not work. Hopefully, with the aid of either a
new motherboard, or a new bios I will be up and running in a couple of
days. Currently, I am telneting from my partner's computer.

Laurie,

I can only post what is online. The Courier-Mail is not online independently but as a
part of the Australian
and I can only get the news. I sometimes scan, or Garry scans, articles from the SMH
because that is the
paper we get in print.
If you get the print edition of the Courier-Mail and you have a scanner, I will be
more than happy to post
those articles you want to be posted.

Talking about "uncouth and racism"- Would it be possible to print
Michael Duffy's columns( Courier Mail) on Recoznet2 ,Trudy?

He expounds the views of those subversive enemies of justice for Indigenous
Australians---Howard et alwho mouth Reconciliation while planning for
annihilation.

He does expose the methods being used by the Economic Elite to grab all from
the disadvantaged--- Indigenous and non-Indigenous.

His Cold War---White Australia, 1950's mentality represents a large
percentage of the swinging voteHoward's People.

I feel that these people are winning the day politically at the moment.

We have to know our enemy in order to answer and defeat them.

PM's nod puts unpolished Stone on roll for top Lib
  post
By RICHARD McGREGOR and DAVID NASON

  11jun99

FORMER Northern Territory chief minister Shane Stone is expected
to be elected unopposed as the Liberal's next federal president,
bringing a new style to the party's senior figurehead position.

John Howard's strong backing for Mr Stone has ensured that no
other candidate will step forward when nominations for the position
  open today.

Mr Stone will replace former Fraser government minister Tony
Staley, who is stepping down next month after six years in the
  position.

Mr Stone, a practising Catholic, has a completely different
background and personality to the more traditional occupants of
  the position.

Whereas Mr Staley is a longstanding member of the Melbourne
Liberal Party establishment, Mr Stone has transformed himself into
a staunch Territorian since moving there from the south.

His brash ways have unnerved some traditional Liberals, who query
his suitability for a senior party position.

He is also a republican, something that puts him at odds with his
patron and friend, the Prime Minister.

Mr Howard thinks Mr Stone's untraditional qualities will benefit the
Liberals, as the party continues to broaden its base among
conservative blue-collar workers who once voted Labor.

Mr Stone has been quietly shoring up support among party
members during a number of recent trips to different State
  branches.

It is understood he intends to remain living in Darwin when he
  takes up the honorary position.

Mr Stone is under pressure from the Country Liberal Party machine
in Darwin to resign from parliament and is expected to do so in
August after a "farewell" overseas trip, scheduled for next month.

His departure would create a third by-election for the 25-seat
parliament, after Transport Minister Barry Coulter and Labor's
longest-serving MP, John Bailey, announced their retirements
  yesterday.
