Re: rpm confused

I then installed the program with rpm and the message I get back is program is already installed. I then did a force install with rpm (rpm -ivh --force). This went through without any indicated problems. I then tried to remove the program again and it failed withe same message, program not installed. I then had rpm do a rebuild (rpm --rebuilddb), this appeared to work (at least no messages). What is wrong and how do I fix it. david Sometimes happens the same to me, but only with just installed sw. If I logout from the shell and login again it gives the right answer. Have you tried a local ftp session on the same machine? I haven't that configuration in xinetd.conf since bsdftpd-ssl configuration in saved in /etc/xinetd.d/bsdftpd-ssl. First of all you could try a local login with simple ftp protocol to see if it's on, then ftps. First of all you have to enable bsdftpd-ssl service (I use redhat-config-services in RH8) and reboot xinetd service. -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list

I have RH8 and my java plugin path is /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_01/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so my mozilla path is /usr/local/mozilla/plugins (Mozilla 1.2.1.). Have only verified your plugin source path ? Hi ti everyone, just trying to configure my linux ftp server with ssl. The only free I've found is this, but have no docs step-by-step or something like that. Has someone links to web resources about bdsftpd-ssl configuration or other free ftp-ssl server? I'm looking for an easy guide, please. Thanks -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
