Many a time I have had the same request in my ISP days and I did not mind re-caching a zone so it could be seen more quickly for a paying customer. Depends on what mood you catch them in and if it is after hours or not. Most likely there is only one person assigned or has privileges to do this and he/she may be gone for today at least. I would throw an e-mail at them just to see if you get a response. If so and the zone is loaded just do a /etc/rc.d/init.d/named restart or reload. If you are not in control over it then you could possibly get the admin of the server to re-cache the zone so it shows up on an nslookup. If you are using forwarders in your DNS and that is what you asking, just use 'named-xfer' to get your new updated info. -- Ray Curtis Unix Programmer/Consultant Curtis Consulting mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]http://www.clark.net/pub/ray ___ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
