Re: [Repeater-Builder] FCC considers Auxiliary Operation on 2M!
Very well said, Nate, Neil - WA6KLA Nate Duehr wrote: Jim B. wrote: Doesn't matter-in fact a repeater that's tied up all day with chatter isn't available for emergency communications. Or maybe I better go tell the local RBOC switch guys that they can't provide 911 service through a busy #5ESS... all those electrons flowing from the normal phone calls might wear it out! Or maybe I should tell the police and fire dispatchers to save their repeaters for a really bad day? LOL... I hope you were joking, because that was a really funny statement. If it wasn't intended as a joke, it was supremely ignorant of how electronics work... design the thing for 100% duty cycle and forget about how much traffic it gets, designed right -- it doesn't matter in the slightest how much activity it gets. Are you thinking of alignment, frequency adjustment or just plain squelch? Re: [Repeater-Builder] Motorola MTR-2000 VHF
have the factory books but there main thing is to send it in for replacement. the books I have show very little of one board info. do have a service monitor ever got a new duplexer and preamp from TX RX no change and since the repeater use in service before I think there is some adjustments to make but I am thinking they are software type. - Original Message - From: Virden Clark Beckman [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Repeater-Builder@yahoogroups.com Sent: Saturday, April 24, 2004 10:44 AM Subject: Re: [Repeater-Builder] Motorola MTR-2000 VHF What is the sensitivity in microvolts? RE: [Repeater-Builder] Dual-Band Repeater Antennas
Eric, Sorry for the delay, I had a UHF (444 MHz) as well as a 2 meter (147 MHz) repeater on one of the moderate gain Comet style antennas and it worked well. No problems. Is a Dual-Bander a compromise on a Repeater for performance? Can the Dual-Band causes problems because of resonant elements in a nother band? Thanks. Eric (N7JYS) Yahoo! Groups Links Yahoo! [Repeater-Builder] Voting
Looking for any information on how to hook up a GE MastrII Voting Panel. Am unable to find anyone that lists a manual for sale. There appears to be 6 sets of conctors per voter and two sets of 20 conectors at the top for the system. I can supply a picture if that would help. Thanks for your help. Yahoo!
