[Repeater-Builder] Retuning a Micor Receiver from 450-470 to 440Mhz
Hi Does anyone know what is needed to move a Motorola Micor receiver from the 450-470Mhz band. To the 440 Mhz. band. It does not receive very well. 1uv at 20db should be .5uv or better. Rick, if your cable harness is on the outside of the antenna you don't have a 210C4 but it probably is a 210A4. The 210C4 has the harness totally inside the antenna. Check with Bob VE3BFM he'll knowhe used to work for Sinclair. 440.125 Mhz ---It shouldn't require anything other than tuning, depending on how low you're trying to move it. What freq are you talking about? [Repeater-Builder] MastrII Station Panel Info
I have a UHF MastrII Tone Remote/Repeater that I want to convert to use a CAT250 controller on. While I have a GE manual for the standard repeater panel 19B234871P1 (GE LBI-31807), it is a long ways from the station panel in this particular radio. The radio is a B3D100VAUUB. Does anyone have info on the Tone Remote/Repeater station panel, or other suggestions on converting to a more usual ham type controller? Also, this radio has the GE programmable Channel Guard encoder and decoder modules. I want to set this up such that the encoder follows the RUS line, ie. the CG tone is only transmitted when there is a legal signal on the RX input. I may have one still, if I can locate it. Let me know if you come up empty. You do know that the Parkinson board doesn't do much don't you? It allows the radio to repeat and has a hang timer and audio adjustments. There is probably a ComSpec board on it. But, it does not have ID nor any control functions -- just makes it repeat (and has connections for an external autopatch). Bob, I was able to get 3 out of the 4 UHF mitreks tuned to the ham band. The 4th one has a problem with the tripler on the receiver side. The linking software is coming along nicely. Hi Rick, Very nice antenna you have there. The standard range for the vhf model should be 138-174Mhz, broad band and with a very nice amount gain. You can make it semi directional by placing the dipoles in line. If they are 90 degree offset from each other, the radiation is near circular depending on the the adjacent mount (ie the tower). A very expensive antenna and you have the enclosed feed line version. It's matching harness/method is quite different compared to the Decibel layout. [Repeater-Builder] OT - DC charger with auto cutoff
Because of a wreak in my vanI am forced into my yl's van while she gets the new one (isn't that the way it always is ;-) The electrical system is her van is pretty bad, so putting more stress on it with radios may put it over the edge. I was thinking about putting a battery (this battery looks sealed - Power Battery Company PRC-1265) in the back and running everything off of it. There is a accessory plug back there that I was going to charge it off of. Is there any device that could be made that would automatically shut off when full charge is reached? I hope to run my laptop's inverter, dual band radio, 2mtr mobile (for APRS), tnc, gps off of this battery (if that needs to be considered). [Repeater-Builder] Power Module Help
Hi and thanks for reading... I have a UHF Mobile Micor that I just converted to repeater service. However the PA deck only puts out 10 watts and I'd like to see a little more power than that. I have an M57788M power module that is a 45 watt power module and I would like to use that instead of the stock PA deck for the micor. I've looked at the schematic for the 220 power module amp (on repeater builder.com) and it seems pretty simple to doexcept for one minor detail. The module used in the 220 amp is an SAV15 in an H2 package and has four leads. The M57788M is in an H3A package and has five leads. Respectively, Vcc1 is A+, Vcc2 would be control, but I don't know what Vcc3 would be. So far, I have'nt been able to locate a data sheet online that would help me figure out what Vcc3 would be used for. Does anyone have some info that could help... A schematic or data sheet...
