Steve, Just in case your board is not labeled, looking at the controller board with the SW600(carrier squelch/tone carrier squelch switch) at the bottom next to you, the Tot pot is at the top of the board and slightly to the left of center (VR602). If your board is labeled: (I've run into a few that weren't) VR600..Rptr Squelch VR601..Drop Out Delay (squlch hang time tail) VR602..Rptr Time Out Timer VR603..TOT Warning level VR604..Rptr Audio Adjust VR605..CTCSS Level Adjust VR606..Battery Warning Level if equiped with backup battery Have fun, if you need anything elase, let me know Mike N9WZX --- Steve Canney [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Just new to the group and wondered if there is anyone who has the Uniden ARU-251 repeater manual handy? Re: [Repeater-Builder] uniden repeater help
Hi, Stephen, I have a copy of a copy of the srvice manual for the ARU251. If your not too particular, I could turn out another copy of it. It covers most of the pertinant information you would need in setting it up and tuning it up for the GMRS band. I have two of them running on that band for my relatives to use. [Repeater-Builder] Mitrek/MSR Channel Elements
Would anyone have an extra set of Elements (KXN 1086B and KXN 1088A) they would turn loose of? Thanks, Skipp, I have the manual on the MSR that shows the preamp board and as I said before it's scary how much the Ramsey looks like it only with the exception of the tuning coil, and only without the plug/socket and the schematics are almost identical to. Looks as though, one would only need to adapt a socket to fit the MSR board and cross-wire it accordingly. It's about the same size as the MSR preamp and looks as though it will fit in the filter hole without too much trouble also. Anyway, thanks a bunch for the info and help. Mike n9wzx Yahoo! Re: [Repeater-Builder] Hamtronics Preamp part ID
Hi, Jim, figure out which one of the preamp/preselectors you have and then go to the Hamtronics web site and download the manual for it. The manuals are found on the bottom of the side-bar on the left of the web site. Hamtronics used mostly Philips brand of transistors, but, it depends on the particular Preselector/preamp you have. Re: [Repeater-Builder] MOTOROLA MICOR receiver VHF
Tell us more details of what you have on your mind of doing. Most of the different frequency band receiver boards for the micors are interchangeable. ie you could make a cross band repeater by using a vhf lo band receiver along with a vhf hi or uhf exciter and vice versa. As far as placing a receiver board in a separate box, as if you are going to use it as a remote receiver for remote control, etc, motorola has done this in most models of it's paging transmitters, and repeaters, by adding the shielded interface box and cabling, etc. Let us know more about what you want to do. Re: [Repeater-Builder] motorola moxys
The Moxy,Maxar, and Maxar80 are all the same chassis only with minor differences from each other. The Motorola Flexar desktop repeater was made out of the transmitter side of the Maxar chassis and the receiver was the receiver side of the maxar. Each chassis was mounted in different boxes for isolation. I ran one of these on the GMRS band for nearly 20yrs before lightning took it out.
