Re: [Repeater-Builder] need Mitrek

2008-02-26 Thread tsoliver
First get yourself a Syntor X make sure it works on the Freq. it is on then I
can program an EEPROM for your freq. and swap you EEPROM's
Or if you have a programmer I can send you the image and you can program it
yourself.

[Repeater-Builder] MOTOROLA ELECTRONICS TEST KIT

2008-04-28 Thread tsoliver
MOTOROLA ELECTRONICS TEST KIT on E-bay appears to have Micor cable with it.

Item number: 260234370700

I have nothing to do with this sale just passing it along.

[Repeater-Builder] Mastr II white noise on transmit

2008-05-27 Thread tsoliver
Fired my UHF Mastr II up again and noticed excessive white noise (I think) in
the transmit audio even on a dead carier. It is the phase modulated exciter
tuned down in the 442 range. Is this just the nature of the beast?

True but only if everything (tx out, cable and duplexer) is matched Z.

If duplexer in and tx output are not exactly the same then adding or
subtracting cable lengths can change the vswr the tx sees.

I have seen this in real life, I do not have a network anylizer so I can not be
sure what was happening but to make the tx happy some cable was added until the
reflected power was minimized and the desense went away like magic.

I think the manual that came with my Wacom duplexer talks about this phenomena.

Re: [Repeater-Builder] Re: Anyone ever interface a CSI TP3200 tone panel to an external controller?

2009-02-12 Thread tsoliver
He only wants encode decode functions so it basicly hooks up just like a ts-32
or ts 64. It is explained in one of the ACC manuals about how to hook up a
com-spec tp-3200 controller.
I think it was in the ACC 850 manual you should be able to download a copy on
RB.
I think it was in the hardware reference manual.

Comm Spec TP-38 Shared Repeater Tone Panel
The TP-38 tone panel is a cost effective replacement for community
repeater tone panels which are used to decode several different tones on
a repeater system. Different groups of users sharing the repeater are
each assigned their own tone frequency so that they don't need to listen
to other users of the repeater who are not part of their group.
In the application shown here, the TP-38 is used as a general purpose
sub- audible tone decoder, connecting to the repeater receiver and
providing a PL logic signal to the controller.
The TP-38 decodes any or all of the 38 standard sub-audible tone
frequencies. With its DTMF option, each tone may be enabled or disabled
independently, remotely, using Touch-Tone commands (independent of the
RC-850 command set). The unit can also cross code, or generate a
different tone output in response to a particular received tone.
Use of the TP-38 can provide the system owner the ultimate in
flexibility in sub-audible tone operation.
Program the hang time in the TP-38 to zero and connect it to the RC-850
controller as shown below. The TP-38's "PTT" output becomes the PL
signal to the RC-850 controller.
