My 444.85 machine was there and worked well. I used a DB 408 antenna this year instead of a old Ringo and made a ton of difference in the coverage in the buildings but still did not cover the whole inside flea market. Scott, Are the space outside or inside. Also what about the $70 spaces. When I had inside booth, 8x8, at Dayton 15 years ago they were over $400. Outside was $30 and more if wanted more spaces. This is when they sold out with about a 40% excess in request. They did a lottery to determine who got a space. The XYL and I were there on Friday. We drove to Indy on Thursday, dropped the youngin's off with the in-laws and make the trek back to Dayton on Friday morning. We didn't go back for Saturday's fun. I looked at the crowd on Friday and decided not to return on Saturday. We did get to see a few folks and get a few good deals on some things. I asked my XYL if the Repeater-Builder group would qualify for one of Hamvention's reduced-price Club spaces?? ($100 for 4 spaces) My kids will be old enough next year to allow for my wife and I to tend some tables. If we do get a few club spaces, we can all have a central location to meet other board members, plus sell a few items on the "club" table without having to pay $70 per space!!! In a moment of weakness (or perhaps utter stupidity?), on Sunday I bought roughly 16000 electrolytic capacitors, 1000 ferrite chokes, a few hundred toggle switches, a few hundred LED's, and a few hundred other random components and connectors, all new in bags or on tape reels, for $100. I almost escaped with the truck mostly-empty. My XYL was overjoyed with my last-minute purchase...NOT. --- Jeff
