Depending on the method used to convert your Micor to a repeater and
type of control (controller) used, you *may* not need anything but a
Station Control Module.
Although written more so for the Unified Chassis, the information
provided can also be used with a Non Unified Chassis:

The Micor squelch gate card is very usefully in the repeater.  It allows for adjusting the point of triggering the COS and the basic 4 connections (COS, PTT, rx audio & tx audio) can be taken from the rear card cage PC board SQ gate connector.

You should find one of these cheap, $5 on e-bay or I am sure there is someone here who could help you.  I ahve 4, but are in repeaters, sorry.

What should have been said is that if you are going to do a
repeater the way that Moto did then you will need a squelch
gate card - it provides a carrier delay timer, but nothing
else - it does not provide a timeout timer or an IDer or any
remote control.

There are other ways, especially if you plan to use an external
controller like one from LinkComm, ICS, CAT, Scom, etc.

Look at the Micor page at www.repeater-builder.com and you
will find a couple of articles on interfacing a external controller
to the backplane of the Micor base/repeater.

Look at the web page at
,
and scroll down to the "Non-Band-Specific Station Information" section.
I've used Joel Huntley's interfacing method on several Micor repeaters.

You can also take a squelch gate card and modify it to be
an interface for an external controller and that method requires
no mods to the backplane.

You can also use the antenna relay control transistor on the
station control card and use it to control the transmitter
channel element.

Does the unit you acquired have the repeater shield kits?

I am trying to build a repeater, for the 2m Ham band.  The Micor I have now is a vhf repeater that was used in the 138-142 mhz band.  I currently have no modules for this unit,  however I ordered a Station Control Module but by what you are saying I need to order a Squelch gate module as well.  I guess I'll get on that as soon as possible.

Yup, same as several I have around here.

The TLN46325B will work ok in both the early and later versions
of the control shelf. If it doesn't work, there could be a problem
in the Station Control Module itself, one of the on-board jumpers
need to be changed ... or an associated module on that control shelf.

You haven't said what you are trying to do here. If you are trying
to build a repeater, just the Station Control Module won't make it
work, you'll need a Squelch Gate Module too.

If you are trying to build a wire controlled remote base, just the
Station Control Module will need to have a Line Driver Module, one
of the DC Transfer Modules or a Guard Tone Decoder Module along
with either an F1 or a F1-PL Tone Decoder Modules.

You need to be more specific as what you are trying to accomplish.

No, I don't have an operational scanner as yet.

[Repeater-Builder] Re: TLN4666A Schematic

2005-07-18 Thread cpitre_01
I need to know where the voltages are, and yes it is an older Micor
station. It has a ribbon type cable on it. Could you scan it and
email it to me? Also is there a specific station control module for
the older type? I tried a tln4635b and it did not work.
