Well, to prove that wonders never cease, the gas prices LOWERED back
down today! Just goes to show you - anything CAN happen at Dayton!

For the record, the day of rain they were calling for was dry. They were
calling for sun tomorrow and Sunday. Hate to see what that means. Me - 1
: WXman - 0

BTW, calling for sunny and 72 tomorrow, and now isolated thunderstorms
Sunday afternoon. They might just have tomorrow right. Again, anything
can happen at Dayton. I bet it rains Sunday, and not just isolated.

2005-05-18 Thread mch
Big chalk for kids to draw on the cement (blacktop) so the Hamvention
committee will have something else to add to the list of things they can
charge you extra for next year. Every year they try to find a new way to
make money off the vendors or make it more of a pain to them. This year,
it's that you can only have two people selling for each space. If you
have three spaces, you can get a maximum of 6 vendor tickets. That means
if you want any time to look around yourself, you have to split the time
50/50 and only have three people manning the three spaces. Needless to
say, the fewer eyes watching the tables...

If you only have one space, there are only two people allowed in to
setup. It's always fun to try to setup a pipe tent with two people.

I guess the Hamvention isn't dying fast enough for them on its own -
they have to 'help it along'. roll
