Re: RB Server has many errors after upgrade

2013-02-13 Thread Clive Hunt
Hi Christian,

The RB site upgraded fine and after a restart of Apache, I was able to log
in and add new records without the 500 page error. I am in a testing phase
to ensure that all is as it should be, and thus far it appears that all is
functioning 100%

Thank you for your assistance, I have learnt a valuable lesson.

Many Thanks,

Clive.

Hi Clive,

I've been largely unavailable today, so sorry I missed your e-mails.

I'm glad to hear you're back up and running. Is this a fresh install, or did
you figure out the previous two problems?

Christian,

We didn't need to do a brand new install. You were able to provide
detailed instructions to aid in the resurrection of the installation
that I was having trouble upgrading. This installation was the one
that had the 500 error on Friday afternoon.

Many Thanks,

Re: Wrong dependency for rb 1.6.1?

Hi,

Old versions of 1.6 just specified a minimum version, and not an exact
version.

If you absolutely have to install an early 1.6, you'll need to figure out
and fix all the dependencies yourself. A pain, yes, but there's no
alternative.

Assign random reviewers

Hi,
Is there a way to have every review request be assigned to X number of

No, there's no support for such a thing in Review Board. Best bet would be to
write an extension that did it, but it's a feature that's far too niche for us

Re: Wrong dependency for rb 1.6.1?

2013-02-13 Thread Christian Hammond
No, you can just install the minimum version of those dependencies manually
and then install ReviewBoard. So, install Django 1.3.1 and Djblets...
whatever is in the setup.py for that release:

https://github.com/reviewboard/reviewboard/blob/release-1.6.1/setup.py

There you go.

You may have to wipe any newer versions from your site-packages first.

Re: Error while adding perforce 2012.2 repository to reviewboard 1.7.4

2013-02-13 Thread chuck j
Dear All,

Its seems i have got some success while configuring ssl.

Now that our perforce server is running on ssl

I am try to add the repository, while doing so i am getting below error
message.

   - *The specified Perforce port includes ssl:, but the p4python library
was built without SSL support or the system library path is incorrect. *

As we have not able to find rpm for RHEL 2.6 OpenSSL 1.0.1, we have to
build openssl 1.0.1, which eventually got installed at /usr/local/ssl/bin/
/usr/local/ssl/ then we have build p4python with --ssl option.

But its seems that still reviewboard reports about the above error message.
Please help us know where to add the path of new build openssl library for
which reviewboard server is looking for, if some pointer will be highly
appreciated.

One thing to verify is that, on the command line (with that version of
 p4), you can do:

 P4PORT=ssl:blah p4 info

Also, what sort of authentication mechanism are you using for Perforce?

Re: Wrong dependency for rb 1.6.1?

2013-02-13 Thread Kudret Güler
Ah, thank you, it worked.

I did install Django manually but not Djblets. Error message confused me
about where the problem might be. Preinstalling Django and Djblets,
easy_install did install Reviewboard 1.6.1 with success.

On Wednesday, February 13, 2013 2:24:08 PM UTC-5, Christian Hammond wrote:

No, you can just install the minimum version of those dependencies
manually and then install ReviewBoard. So, install Django 1.3.1 and
Djblets... whatever is in the setup.py for that release:

 https://github.com/reviewboard/reviewboard/blob/release-1.6.1/setup.py

 There you go.

You may have to wipe any newer versions from your site-packages first.

No problem. Shall I be creating the ReviewBoard-1.6.1-py2.6.egg file

 Hi,

Old versions of 1.6 just specified a minimum version, and not an exact
 version.

If you absolutely have to install an early 1.6, you'll need to figure
out and fix all the dependencies yourself. A pain, yes, but there's no
 alternative.

Comment #4 on issue 2898 by chip...@gmail.com: ssh+svn access no more
possible in version 1.7.5

http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=2898

In your exception that you listed, are you get thing this from a log file,
or running rbssh directly?

If a log file, which one?

Can you modify the reviewboard.wsgi file to do:

os.environ['DEBUG_RBSSH'] = '1'
os.environ['RBSSH_LOG_DIR'] = '/tmp'

And then reload Apache, repeat the process, and see if you see any
rbssh*.log files. Then provide one that shows a failure. We'll need that
debug information.

support for SSH+SVN

http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=2903

Thanks for the info. After applying the patch, I see the system tries to
connect to specified ports.

Btw, maybe for debugging, the port could also be added in some debug
messages which currently only contain hostnames.

Now, I see selinux not letting httpd connect to ports 1024, will need to
fix that... :)

Probably you'll want to contact your server administrator about this. This
bug tracker is about the upstream project. It's possible that you're
encountering an actual bug, but we would need a lot more information about
what's going on. If you can work with your server administrator to figure
this out and believe that it's actually a bug in review board, please post
here again with some information about what's going on.
