Reviewboard installation with CloudFront

2018-06-05 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
I'm trying to install reviewboard in front of CloudFront for SSL (AWL SSL
is free). It does not simply work by connecting to reviewboard server. It
gives 4xx errors.

Is there any documentation on how to install review board with CloudFront?
I'm willing to contribute if there is not any.

Thanks,
Kannaiyan

Re: Any Estimated Timeline for ReviewBoard 2.0

2011-11-30 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Thanks David.

Is there anyway to poll reviewboard and ask for changes after a given
timestamp in a single REST call?

Changes could be,

1. New Review Request (not the inner details of review request)
2. New Review
3. New Response
4. Ready to Ship
etc.,

Thanks,
Kannaiyan

Re: Review Board is taking a nap

2011-11-04 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Reinstalling with easy_install did not fix it.

One person from #django room recommened to use pip to get things done
correctly. I'm sure easy_install misses some of the entries that pip does.

Did, easy_install pip

and did all the reinstall with pip.

I did rebooted the machine now and checked it. It works fine even after
rebooting.

Thanks,

Re: Review Board is taking a nap

2011-11-04 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Help from #django irc channel helped to fix it.

Did the following, everything is backup.
After every restart if you go and see you will see the missing module.
Delete it and reinstall it. It will get it resolved.

rm -rf /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/recaptcha_client-1.0.6-py2.4.egg
pip install recaptcha-client
service httpd restart
tail /var/log/httpd/error_log
pip install pytz
rm -rf /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/pytz-2011h-py2.4.egg
pip install pytz
service httpd restart
tail /var/log/httpd/error_log
pip install paramiko
rm -rf /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/paramiko-1.7.7.1-py2.4.egg
pip install paramiko
service httpd restart
tail /var/log/httpd/error_log
pip install Crypto
easy_install Crypto
pip install pycrypto
rm -rf /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/pycrypto-2.3-py2.4-linux-x86_64.egg
pip install pycrypto
service httpd restart

Hope it will be useful.

Re: reviewboard 1.6.1 with wsgi

2011-10-11 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
If you replace the config file generated by ReviewBoard installation. It
will work file. Modifying the configuration will have other problems.
Will you try to install it in the root path rather than a subdirectory path?

If you root drive is /var/www/html/

Your config value will be
WSGIScriptAlias "/" "/var/www/html/htdocs/reviewboard.wsgi"

Please let me know if you still have problems.

You can remove them from the group so they can receive individual emails.

Re: Failure upgrading to 1.6

2011-09-07 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
I would recommend to do a check by the software to verify permissions on DB
before performing the upgrade, if the requirements are missing it can inform
the user to get the requirements done before it performs the upgrade.

Also, It can avoid database getting into a fuzzy state (neither downgraded
nor upgraded) during the upgrade.

Thanks,
Kannaiyan

Re: Review Board 1.6 is released!

2011-09-06 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Upgrade went pretty smooth. Couple of commands made it awesome.

easy_install -U ReviewBoard

rb-site upgrade /path/to/site

Could post from TortoiseHg and post-review. (Including Complete Branch
changes and adding new diffs to existing Review Requests)

Thanks for the upgrade.

Got Couple of Red Items:

There are unapplied evolutions for accounts.
There are unapplied evolutions for reviews.
There are unapplied evolutions for scmtools.

Project signature has changed - an evolution is required

Do I need to do anything to take care of the above red-line items?

Regards,
Kannaiyan

Recent Changes Made to ReviewBoard

2011-08-30 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
We have our own Bug Tracking System and we would like to get the latest
changes done to the Reviewboard Instance and update it to our system.

I don't know how to retrieve which REST API gives the list of changes made
after a certain date and time or a certain offset.

Changes Include such as,

New Review Requests
New Reviews
New Replies

Is there a method available to get an offset instead of date and time?
and to query all changes occurred in Reviewboard after that offset.

Thanks,
Kannaiyan

Re: Publish upon commit

2011-08-25 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
You need to install the client on each machine only if you want uncommited
code changes to get on ReviewBoard.

Hook on Subversion server's postcommit and post it to ReviewBoard.

post-review -r 42

http://www.reviewboard.org/docs/manual/dev/users/tools/post-review/

This will create review request for each commit. Depends how you write the
hook also to handle the diff.

You can trigger with a svn comment message in Hook ( command: reviewboard
your comment for the changes) to handle multiple revisions.
If you want to create a review request for range of revisions you can use
like,

post-review --revision-range=STARTREV:STOPREV

Christian,

I specified rboard when creating the site with rb-site install sitename

After installation, I got the error. I will try to reproduce the error
tomorrow by moving the existing installation.

Other than tough installation of software is just works excellent and many
of our users liked it very much. Thanks for creating it.

Re: Anyway to get it to work?

2011-08-15 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Thanks Chris for taking a look and confirm it can work on a different
database.

Below are my findings.

Regarding the port issue, I don't see any other way (software, other than
tortoisehg & postreview) of posting it to reviewboard to validate it.
Installed with rboard as the database. When going to homepage, i got this
StackTrace.

Re: Anyway to get it to work?

2011-08-12 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Christin,

Bug is on the ReviewBoard.

   1. Reviewboard cannot run on other http ports other than 80. If you want
to run on other ports Apache Mod-Proxy might help.
   2. The database should be 'reviewboard' trying to install in other
   database names will fail.

Tested with "hg postreview" & Tortoise hg, it worked fine upon satisfying
the above conditions.
Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks,
Kannaiyan

Re: Anyway to get it to work?

2011-08-10 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Hi Christian,

I even tried,

hg postview

It just hangs and command does not return.

Am I missing something in config?

Thanks,
Kannaiyan

Anyway to get it to work?

2011-08-10 Thread Kannaiyan Natesan
Installed reviewboard and no luck in getting it to work.

When tried from TortoiseHg 2.1.2 (latest version)

It says,

{{{
#!python
** Mercurial version (1.9.1). TortoiseHg version (2.1.2)
** Command: --nofork workbench
** CWD: C:\MercurialTestClone\TestRepo
** Encoding: cp1252
** Extensions loaded: convert, rebase, fetch, reviewboard
** Python version: 2.6.6 (r266:84297, Aug 24 2010, 18:13:38) [MSC v.
1500 64 bit (AMD64)]
** Windows version: (5, 2, 3790, 2, 'Service Pack 2')
** Processor architecture: x64
** Qt-4.7.1 PyQt-4.8.3
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "tortoisehg\hgqt\postreview.pyo", line 50, in run
File "tortoisehg\hgqt\postreview.pyo", line 78, in loadCombos
AttributeError: Api20Client instance has no attribute
'pending_user_requests'

}}}

Any help please.
