[RDD] Old Rivendell, new system, multibyte string problem (I think)

2022-06-28 Thread Hoggins!

Hi there,

Still using Rivendell 2.19.3 here (I know).

I have a bunch of machines where the OS has been upgraded to recent
Fedora versions, and on which RDLibrary shows multibyte strings issues.
Can you point out where to look to solve this? Could it be MySQL
driver-related, not having the appropriate character set on these newer
machines, or is it QT3 in its "new" version that handles strings
differently?

Thank you!

Re: [RDD] Schedule going blank in RDAirPlay

I don't trust Log Refresh. I reload the log instead and use Make Next to
specify the next even that is to air.

When the log goes blank, it shows what has played, but everything coming up disappears. I suppose
it might relate to refreshing the log. We have checked "Enable AutoRefresh By Default"

ready to play. Maybe this is causing an occasional problem.

The log goes blank, but rdairplay doesn't crash?

The closest thing I've ever seen to that relates to the use of the Refresh Log
button.

I long ago gave up using that button because often it would reload only part of
the day's log, and when the last event on the reloaded log ran, the schedule
would be blank and nothing would be on the air.

Here's a question: does the right hand side of rdairplay, which shows the aired
log events, show anything? Or is it blank as well?

From time to time as RDAirPlay is playing, the log will go blank and the

troubling when it does. We have to reload the schedule and restart things to
get up and running again. Has anyone else run into this problem? What might
cause this? How to prevent it? We are using version 3.6.4 on Centos7.
