No objections (but a bit late too :-) I've tried it some days now on my iAudio. First of all I prefer this much better then the system before. * One comment is that it is hard to read this two line selector (not really part of the bookmark feature though). One or two pixels seperating each item might help? * On the iAudio I would expect pressing right-button to select an item, because you do that everywhere else. * When selecting a bookmark I get to the main menu instead of to the WPS screen (same behaviour before too). If I've been listening to radio, then a press on play will stop the playback and start the radio again (if I haven't listened to radio, then I get to the WPS). I know from other places where they have 2-line-select-list that I don't really like them. I prefer that the only the selected line is expanded to two lines (more tricky unless this is implemented). To get good UI response, the bookmark file would probably need to be buffered a bit, possibly using the plugin buffer. Buffering sounds good for me. I'm a bit annoyed about the slow response when browsing bookmarks. // Kjell --- iAudio X5 owner

They just don't feel for debating this, because it never leads anywhere. Just checked the poll, the good news is that not many people seem to have felt the need to sign up with a false name. Exactly, most people don't have needs for that... The question is, how many people are simply not signing up because of this? You decided your conclusions before starting this discussion. You even made that poll, it didn't give the result you expected, and now you find new arguments why it shows this result. I'm sure 99.999% of the world population isn't signed up on Rockbox - so if it feels better for you then you can add that part to your side when signing off... You are welcome back when you use a real name. // Kjell

So, my perspective is that they should be allowed the identify of their choice as long as the chosen name is not in some way intentionally (or even hopefully accidentally) offensive to others, and that they're willing to stand behind that identity. In this project I get offended by names like "eLiTEhAcker", and "gl.tter". I don't get offended by names I can't separate from real names, like for example "John Glitter". In other projects I may have different opinion. If 95% uses their real names (the poll right now) and some of the 5% uses a fake real name, then the pseudo-wanted names will have to understand the "culture" (even if it isn't written). Discussing with an anonymous person is also uncomfortable. I've experienced where anonymous person really goes crazy after a while and tries to destroy works for other. They feel they can do that because no one knows who they are. That experience make me support the real-name-policy. // Kjell Ericson
