Hello.

My system, 4.0.10 with postgreSQL on Centos 6.4

Im trying to open a new ticket on RT, with a new user. The user is created
and his email adress is fine. The user is a privileged users, with rights
to create new tickets.
The tiket is not created, and the admin of rt get and email, but doesn´t
show the email from was sended the email, only it email.

[rt-users] Serach only for a text not entire word

Hello.

My install: RT 4.0.10 and PostgreSQL Indexed database.

If I do a "Content" search for this word "ExtensionHardening" works fine,
and give the two tickets that have this word.

But if i search only for "Hardening" i have no results.

Could I search only for a part of a word?

Y copy the RT_Congig.pm from version 4.0.10, to the RT_SiteConfig.pm. And I
put again all the configuration from my "old" 4.0.5 RT_SiteConfig.

Now all works fine.

Hello to all.

I want to migrate mi centos 6.3 RT 4.0.5 to a new machine with Centos 6.4
and RT 4.0.10,

I installed the new machine with RT 4.0.10, migrate the database, make and
upgrade-database. All seems fine, but i don´t see the "taskbar" in the top
of RT Homepage.

[rt-users] MessageBoxRichText and Internet Explorer 10.

Hello Again.

My install: Centos 6.3, PosgreSQL and RT 4.0.5

I recently install Windows 8, and i make a bttery test to our software. RT
works fine, but i can´t write anything if i have the MessageBoxRichText to
1. Internet Explorer 10, only shows the tools of the Rich Text Editor. You
can see a screenshot here:

Hi make the RT full installation about 8 times, all with 2 centos isos (CD
and DVD), and always on a ESX 5.1 host. Every time i create a new machine
and always fails in the same point

I make the same installation (i have a text file with all the command
lines) with the same iso files on a windows 8 hyper-V and in a ESX 5.0 host
and works fine.

My opinion, is there somthing strange with ESX 5.1 and CPAN in a GUEST. Or
something is wrong on my ESX 5.1, but other machines that works fine.

Yes you are right. Is very dangerous. But i use a adapted script to make
the migration.
I don have the knowledge to do by myself.

I lost some locale data in the migration.

If run this in rtdb database:

 update attachments set content = replace(content, 'u', '*')

I believe that these changes are so located, are not capable by
themselves alter
the overall operation off RT.

For example, all the characters in words on content column  that i change,
and reindexed now appears in the search.

Im only do that on the test rt installation, not in the production
enviroment. Yet :D

I need edit to change some characterset. I migrate from mysql to
postgresql. And some local character (spaniard character) text are now
showhing proper.

I wan´t to mantain the Actually encondig and Collate. To make that, i think
that is enought to only change a string like ú to my spaniard character.

Run this sctipt on the rtdb database using pgAdmin 3.

update attachments set content = replace(content, 'ú', 'ú')

I have the same problem.

The problem is that mysql natively doesn´t support indexing. You can change
your database or use third software that permit mysql use indexed search.

[rt-users] RT 4.0.5 in search don´t have content option

Hi to all.

I have 4.0.5 on centos and with mysql.


When i do a search i only have Content-Type, Subjet and Filename parameters
to search for data in the ticket.
In my old 3.6.5 installation y have Subjet, Filename Content-type and
CONTENT. Option that doesn´t exists on my RT 4.0.5
Could you hel me to get this option in the search options?

type" is set to "Reply to requestors".
But i need/want that the "Update type" change to "Comments (Not sent to
requestors)"
I see in the "System Configuration" menu, thath exists a config called
"LifeCycles" with this text

To do the the change that i need, is this place the correct way to do it?

by default is only 100k.

I checked the apache log. If you use fastcgi, the upload limit are around
100k. You need to edit the vitualhost definition for RT with this.



   # 20MB should be enough
   MaxRequestLen 2000


It permit upload files at least 20MB.

Yes.

But i have some extra info.
In the time i can´t open ticket with attachment, the mysql is at 90% (or
more) of ram memory. I change my my.cnf to make mysql less ram hungry.

But it donesn´t he problem, not works fine. I can´t upload if the file is
up than 100kb. I get an 500 internal server error. If the file is 24k works
fine for uopload, if is miore than 100k i cant upload it.

The internal errors occur if i use other language than english. I thin that
i open new cuestion about it.

[rt-users] Can not open ticket with attachment on 4.0.5

Hi people.

I finished migrate my old RT to new 4.0.5.
I see that i can´t open a ticket if this ticket have an attachment. But, i
can attach a file to an existente ticket.

Could you help me?

[rt-users] Menu Actions, and most comman used actions

Hi,

I see if you open one ticket, that the most used actions are under Actions
Menu. But, Have direct access for less (for me) used actions. Like Jumbo,
Reminders, etc...
Could i have direct access (without click on Actions menu), to my usefull
Actions?? Like, Reply, Resolve, Take .

May be can resolve it, if i can to put all the users Outgoing Mail option
to "Default YES", now are "Default (no)". (on the Settings / Options / Mail
zone of users settings).



But i don´t know where i have to change it.

I supose the migration pass all the configuration. But when done, the users
can´t open tickets via email or reply to its via email. Neither a web user
can reply a ticket with a succesfull email sent.

I have a lot of errors of "No recipients Found" and a rt-mailgate --debug
get errors give me "gateway not ok - Could not load a valid user"

I check my RTAddressRegexp and seems ok.

Only when i get permission to one user to open tickets, reply tickets and
check the option in his preferences for mail to outgoing mail yes start to
work.

I think there are some "lost" data in the migration, becasuse with the same
data in the OLD system i can send emails or open tickets without problems.

Hello Again.

In my RT migration (3.6.5 to 4.0.5) i lost some users rights.

The users can´t create new tickets or reply to its.

I need to grant all useres permission to open tickets, reply to its and
Peremit Outgoing mail.

How can i do it?

I still can´t upgrade in the Centos Server.

I have to install two Ubuntu servers. One with the 3.8 Version and one with
4.0.1 version (with APT). And make and upgrade per version, Dump the
original database and import to ubuntu, for migrate to 3.8.10. Dump and
migrate to version 4.0.1 and so the last migration to the centos to reward
at 4.0.5

:( a lot of job and hours of restrore innodb tables, or changing all tables
form myisam to innodb.

Any help with this problem.

[rt-users] Debian/Ubuntu rt-setup-database doesn´t work

Hi Again.

I have two installations, one with Ubuntu Server 11.10 and another with
Debian Wheezy. With RT4 installed trought apt-get
Both installations give me the same error.

# ./rt-setup-database-4

Dont return the options of this command. I get the PERL code that use this
command.

Perhaps i forget some packet to install...

Any help?

I read the README file and says:

   1b) Configure the new MySQL to use Latin1 as the default character
   set everywhere, not UTF-8.  This is necessary so the import in
   the next step assumes the data is Latin1.

My Mysql is not full Latin1 to do the upgrade.If you see other emails i
have a lot of problems with the datbase migration.

I only follow the instructions to make the upgrade

[rt-users] Error Condition Unimplemented in RT::Handle migration from 3.6.5 to 4.0.5 database

Hi again.

I installa the new scenario, dump the old database and import in the new
database.

I try to upgrade the old to rt 4.0.5 installation.

I do a Make initalize-database
import the rt3 database on rt4 database and do:

 ./rt-setup-database --prompt-for-dba-password --action upgrade

>From 3.6.5 to 3.7.10 works fine

but from 3.7.10 to 3.7.19 i get this error.

Proceed [y/N]:y
Processing 3.7.15
Now inserting data.
Processing 3.7.19
Now inserting data.
Couldn't finish 'upgrade' step.

ERROR: Couldn't load data from './etc/upgrade/3.7.19/content' for import:

ERROR:RT::Scrip::Condition Unimplemented in RT::Handle.
(./etc/upgrade/3.7.19/content line 27)
Compilation failed in require at /opt/rt4/sbin/../lib/RT/Handle.pm line 760.

Solved.

The error are mod_fcgid. I installed it manually but doesn´t works. Y use
the EPEL respository  and install it with YUM. Now works, i have another
problems, but works.

[rt-users] Internal Server error, when trying to acces RT4.0.5

Hello.

Sorry for all the messages. I´m very frustraring with this installation.

I install all the system, and install and initialize the database.
Configure /opt/rt4/etc/RT_SiteConfig.pm, reload Apache.
And get and 500 Interal Server Error.

Im trying to install  a CentOS
6.2 machine with the Request Tracker Software (RT).
Its a web-perl app to manage support tickets.

I see that is recomended use mod_fcgid and install the server with centos
6.2, mysql , apache and the
requeriments to run RT.

I installed  all (mod_fcgid from
rpm from last tar.gz sources).

The server works fibne. I can get running the Apache test page, and
myphpadmin.

 Code:

yum install httpd-devel
Download source mod_fcgid.
wget http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/mod_fcgid/mod_fcgid-2.3.6.tar.gz

Install mod_fcgid.
tar -zxvf src/mod_fcgid-2.3.6.tar.gz

./configure.apxs
make
make install
Configure FCGID populating the conf file.
