Don't get me wrong. I think Brodie is going to be great. I am just wondering since they had to burn 2 time outs because they couldn't get the plays in that he's getting thrown off balance. I also wonder if the receivers are not running the right routes sometimes. Brodie has more potential than any QB we've had since Richard Todd (of course, I'm partial where he's concerned). When you're at the game, you see things that they don't show on TV which is mostly the bad officiating, but it appeared also that Brodie was either confused about the play that was called or he threw to the wrong receiver or the receiver wasn't where he was supposed to be. THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT BRODIE WILL BE GREAT & I THINK CMS IS THE ONE OF THE FEW THAT CAN PULL THIS OFFENSE TOGETHER. I know that I am impatient & I expect overnight success. I also know that they have done an outstanding job in the amount of time they have had to prepare. But, as I have said before, I'm old & I remember the days of old when we didn't have the obstacles that we must overcome now. I have heard callers after the game slamming him and I heard 2-3 phone calls on my way to work this morning on the sports show. Here I was. Walking down the sidewalk, minding my own business. When out of no where, this unusual smell drifts my way. I've smelled it before, but just couldn't place where it was. About 10 seconds later, I get hauled down from the back like I was a running back. I look around and there is Pat. And then that smell comes around again. Jim Beam. Lots of it. When my eyes quit watering from the force of the tackle, I notice Pat has a female 'friend' with her. Hey, don't think Madonna and Britney have anything on Pat and her friend. She said her name was Norman Bates. While mentioning her name, another gale force blow of Jim Beam sweeps across my nose. Yep, they are sharing the same drink and one straw As we talked, I began to realize that the tackle Pat threw on me was prolly no more than an attempt to stay vertical while negotiating the sidewalk obstacle course. We all talked a long time, but I found it just a little bit strange that Pat and Norm would finish each other's sentence and then look at each other and smile. And all they wanted to do was fondle my visor. At one point, Pat offered to lift her shirt in exchange for my visor. I almost took her up on the offer but I was afraid that once she got her shirt lifted, she'd need help getting it back down. Although I think Normy would have been all over her like white on Rice if that shirt wouldda come up at all. Pat said they brought down the 'motor home' and parked it in the free parking spot (surprise??). I bet it took them a-while to get the under-pinning back on that thing once they got it situated. Anyway, I bet Pat did yell a lot at the game. Might not have been able to understand the words, but I bet it was loud.
