Gainesville, FL - In an effort to win votes, in the critical swing state of Florida, the Kerry/Edwards team has volunteered to replace fired coach Ron Zook for the remainder of the season. When I played football as a young man in Vietnam, I did not hesitate to beat the Bulldogs and I won't now. Floridians are tired of this failed Zook administration. They continued to call the wrong play at the wrong time in the wrong game. It's time for them to come clean with this Gator nation. When asked what he would do differently, however, the senator replied I would have done everything differently. I would have recruited the same players and called the same plays, but other than that I would have done everything differently. We should not have tried to go it alone against Mississippi State. The Zook administration has failed us. In fact, I actually voted to go for the two point conversion before I voted against it. Problems immediately arose, however at their first practice on Monday. When a player was hurt and taken to the hospital, offensive coordinator John Edwards unexplainably chased the ambulance out of the stadium. It is unclear what his motives were, but was reported as saying No longer will there be two Gator nations. No longer will there be winners and losers at these football games. We will ensure that every player is a winner. The coach would not lay out specific ideas about how to turn around the season for the Gators, but ensured everyone that he has a plan. He insists it involves improving the strength and conditioning program over several years, but just recently he has voted to cut funding for the weight lifting equipment by over 6 billion dollars. However, he's going to upgrade other facilities by raising ticket prices only for those who contribute over $20,000 per year. Other details of his plan have not yet been revealed. Bush in power. According to a mid-October survey conducted by Baghdad's Center for Research and Strategic Studies, about 21 percent of Iraqis polled favor John Kerry for president. Some 17 percent want four more years of Bush. But, with a built-in four percent margin of error, the two candidates might well be in a dead heat in Iraq, too. But here's the rub: By an overwhelming majority of almost 60 percent, Iraqis just don't care who holds the job that will so largely influence this country's future. Iraqis too tired to care How can that be? Many Iraqis are simply too exhausted to care. Real unemployment is close to 70 percent. Security is non-existent. More than 1,000 Iraqi police and national guardsmen have been killed since January, most of them young recruits. U.S.-funded reconstruction projects have all but dried up, with both foreign contractors and Iraqi workers too afraid to show up at the sites. I think technically, if you don't take the wheels off or install under-pinning it is not referred to as a mobile home. It is considered a 'temporary mobile dwelling' and taxes are imposed at the same rate as 'livestock transportation devices'. But you'll prolly want to check with someone more familiar with such legal matters. At the New Union Volunteer Fire Department, today. The machine indicated I was the 380th voter as of 2:00 p.m. The most I've ever seen was 411 very near closing time. I waited until the rain started pouring down to go vote. Good strategy as there was no line. Only drawback was the KFC crumbs stuck to my ballot. I'm not kidding about that. Got a good laugh at the expense of the geriatric poll workers brigade. I walked in and handed Me-Maw my water bill. (I just love being different!) She asked me what it was and what did I want her to do with it. I told her the man on television told me to take my water bill to my polling place, present it, and the DNC would pay my bill AND let me vote! Me-Maw just smiled and said: Well...that'll be OK. Then she handed me a ticket with the #2 scribbled on it. I handed the ticket to next Me-Maw who asked me HOW was I going to sign my name. I told her: with that pen in yore hand. I signed and stepped down to Pa-Paw who handed me the ballot splattered with Extra Crispy crumbs and dried chicken skin. Voted straight Republican and NO on 6-of-9 amendments. Stuck my ballot in the machine and took an I VOTED sticker and placed it above my heart as I walked out the door. I'm proud to be an American.
