Why Dogs Rule:

1. Dogs are never permitted in the house. The dog stays outside in a
specially built wooden compartment named, for very good reason, the dog
house.

2. Okay, the dog can enter the house, but only for short visits or if
his
own house is under renovation.

3. Okay, the dog can stay in the house on a permanent basis, provided
his
dog house can be sold in a yard sale to a rookie dog owner.

4. Inside the house, the dog is not allowed to run free and is confined
to a
comfortable but secure metal cage.

5. Okay, the cage becomes part of a two-for-one deal along with the dog
house in the yard sale, and the dog can go wherever he pleases.

6. The dog is never allowed on the furniture.

7. Okay, the dog can get on the old furniture but not the new furniture.

8. Okay, the dog can get up on the new furniture until it looks like the
old
furniture and then we'll sell the entire works and buy new
furniture...upon
which the dog will most definitely not be allowed.

9. The dog never sleeps on the bed. Period.

10. Okay, the dog can sleep at the foot of the bed.

11. Okay, the dog can sleep alongside you, but he's not allowed under
the
covers.

12. Okay, the dog can sleep under the covers but not with his head on
the
pillow.

13. Okay, the dog can sleep alongside you under the covers with his head
on
the pillow, but if he snores he's got to leave the room.

14. Okay, the dog can sleep and snore and have nightmares in bed, but
he's
not to come in and sleep on the couch in the TV room, where I'm now
sleeping. That's just not fair.

15. The dog never gets listed on the census questionnaire as "primary
resident," even if it's true.

Actually, it has something to do with the new SEC schedule. All teams have four home

the Bulldogs. ;)

[RollTideFan] Arn Bowl

2001-11-18 Thread Ron Rice

The Queen and I have safely made it back from pastoral Lee County after a VERY long
day. I can honestly say that was the BEST Arn Bowl I have ever been to. (And yes,
Huge, I've been to more than just one.)

The AU crowd was out of it after the Bama TD in the first minute of the second half.
It was quite pleasant to see them departing at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

I don't think anyone expected such a lop-sided game but Bama DOMINATED this one.
Chevy Cavalier Williams would have made little difference. He probably would have
gotten some impressive numbers but AU still would have lost this one by a couple of
TDs.

We keep picking up new members at the RTF tailgate (formerly HWFC). This week's new
attendee was none other than Dougie-Do (Doug McCullough). It was great to meet you
and I'm sure you had a nice ride back to B'ham with your Auburn friend.

Tequila Joel and the Hville crew were of course there. TJ wins, hands-down, the award
for best tailgate burger.

Lynn Grainger - thanks for the parking spot. I hope you weren't too tough on hubby
David. ;)

Let us not forget - nor fail to remind AU fans - Tubofears has NEVER beaten Bama in
Jordan-Hare. Wonder if that one will be in the AU media guide in 2 years?

Yes, I hope so. Alabama has NOTHING to gain from playing UAB. Bama doesn't need the
money. In fact, the University would make more by playing a home game against SW
Texas State, or whoever.

If Bama wins - they are supposed to win. If, God forbid, they lost - and they would
*eventually* - it would mean everything to UAB. There simply is very little to be
gained from a Capstone perspective - and everything to be lost.

It's all in your perspective. I can assure you the rest of the conference believes
Bama gets a hell of a lot more officiating calls going its way rather than against it.

Truth be told, it all probably evens out.

[God help me but] I agree with Slef. Most of the negative press over the past few
years is deserved. Other than that, the University is generally very favorably
portrayed in the media (in spite of state poverty, George Wallace, and right wing

Ditto what Devonna said. Look at the quagmire that was Alabama football last
November. Coach Fran has made tremendous improvement. In all honesty, the team
outplayed South Carolina and Ole Piss yet found a way to lose those games. Throw
those into the mix and Coach Fran would be standing at 8-3 in his inaugural year.

That being said, word on the skreet has 'Bama playing in Nashville. 'My sources'
report the Music City said before the USM game they'd take Bama if they won - thus
leaving Ole Piss at home.

Think about it. Wouldn't you rather have 30-40,000 crimson-clad fans as opposed to

Semantics young HuGebert.

Your "shouldn't" is still incorrect. I could argue that since it snowed last year it
"should" snow again this year.

Why not just admit when you don't know what you are talking about?

I may be wrong but I don't think it screwed the SEC at all. We still send the same
number of teams to the same bowls. The only difference is that LSU now goes to a BCS
bowl instead of Tennessee.

After travel expenses don't all SEC schools get the same payout due to revenue sharing?

I am not sucking up because I am, well, me (you know, Queen of the Bitches)
but I do appreciate Javvy's commitment to the list, especially during the
off-season. If he didn't make smarty-ass comments about people's
ageSOME people might post more often.

Oh, and it's not just Javvy. Slef and that retard from Huntsville throw in
smarty-ass comments all the time too. I have a very fragile psyche,
guys...you know that.

Kisses,
Sonja
