Re: [RollTideFan] awbrun Prediction

2001-11-15 Thread William H Evans

I didn't say anyone was humiliated.

What I said was this: the UA-AU game is always much closer than expected.
In 1997 AU was as heavily favored as any team has been in the Iron Bowl
in my lifetime. UA fans were not optimistic about their chances. Then
AU wins on the Scissum fumble and subsequent FG 18-17.

What brought this up was Hugh noticing how closely bunched the
predictions are. I think that is because anyone who has seen 10-20 or
more Iron Bowls knows that they are always close.

9-0 was the 2000 game.

Not because we lost, but haven't talked to anyone who really recalls much about last

When it starts raining ice right before kickoff, you know you're in trouble. This
year should be much better, weather wise.

Agreed.

What is memorable about a bunch of punts and three FG's? It was a very

BB, believe it or not I picked the game 17-15 Bama on two different
contests, simply because that was the score of the '84 game where Bama
was a big underdog. I cursed Arians for a week. :-)
