Hôtel des Vosges is where our visitors usually go; it is about 5min walking distance from the center, reasonably cheap, and not far from the tramway. For those who prefer to pay a little more, but be in the old center, I recommend Hôtel de Guise, which has a nice local "touch". The center is reasonably accessible by tram; those working late at LORIA (if this is compatible with building security -- Paul???) will just have to pay attention to the tram schedule. I've booked a room in the Hotel Americain: http://www.americain-hotel.com/ which is walking distance to the train station. Another inexpensive option is Hotel Akena: http://www.hotel-akenanancy.com/ also close to the train station (on the other side). I would suggest some local input before booking hotels independently. Hi there, Bad news for the accomodation in Nancy: I called the Youth Hostel, and they do not have enough room for the period of the SD10: a jazz festival and several other events are happening in the same period, and the Hostel already has several groups registered and confirmed. There is about 6 beds available the 9 and 10 but nothing in the week-end and the begining of the next week. This is very unfortunate since this place looked good, close to campus and cheap! I will look for other places, ask for availabilities and let you know about the situation. Don't worry, I will not book anything before we all agree on the place (especially since it might be more expensive).
