RE: [SA-list] FileProperties Configuration problem
There is no list of what isn't working on Win2008. A "small" list: * when running as service using the system account with desktop interaction you will NOT get the system tray icon (as you would on XP/2003) * at startup the OS complains about the svcit.ocx file * OS not recgonized correctly in the ABOUT box (very important issue :-)) W2008(R2) will be supported as OS with the next major release... Current beta (http://beta.woodstone.nu) is supported on Win2008(R2)/7 dirk -Original Message- From: Servers Alive Discussion List [mailto:salive@woodstone.nu] On Behalf Of Carroll, Andrew Sent: Wednesday, August 03, 2011 2:16 PM To: Servers Alive Discussion List Subject: RE: [SA-list] FileProperties Configuration problem Dirk, I didn't have a choice of what OS I wanted to use for this latest Servers Alive installation as this is controlled by company policy and Windows 2008 Server is now the preferred Server OS.
