more info: only about 200 copies were sold... he set fire to the remaining 800 manuals as they were taking up about half of his garage ! you would think BB would have made use of these stored manuals before printing his own if he had permission dont ya? what else like this went on? ive missed like the last 7 years of SAM gossip :) -Original Message- From: Neil Holmes [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 03 July 2000 10:10 To: 'sam-users@nvg.ntnu.no' Subject: RE: scads the answer is no, he didnt give permission - and unfortunately he has no spare manuals... he burnt (?!?) them all a couple of years ago... sorry :( ninge -Original Message- From: Gavin Smith [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 01 July 2000 00:29 To: sam-users@nvg.ntnu.no Subject: Re: scads At 11:34 pm +0100 30/6/00, David L wrote: >Brenchley was coming out with all sorts of Bollocks about Glen > >Be interesting to find out if he ever gave Bob permission to reprint >and sell his manual - let alone to release SCADS as PD... > >If not, yet another case of BB coming out with crap :( Yes, David is absolutely right. odds and ends for grabs....
Hello, Whilst having a clear-out, I've found a few other odds and ends which I want to dispose of - if you want any of these things then let me know, otherwise they'll end up in the bin! 1 x SAM (i.e. BBC) parallel printer cable 2 x spectrum joystick interfaces (1 is a kempston, 1 is something else) -- useful for the edge connectors? 1 x spectrum pcb - this has the ROM, speaker, and heatsink missing, and the coil near the power input is a bit mashed up. I've no idea whether this works or not (with a rom, of course!) but the ULA, ram chips, UHF modulator, and everything else is intact, so might be handy for spares. Drop me an email if any of this is of use to you and I'll pop them in the post (would prefer UK...) Andy
