Hi John,I may be wrong, but SAM has not got a Forth,..Yet!
unless, you are using a Forth83 via Pro-Dos? Which, in that case download the
FDos disk images here http://www.samcoupe-pro-dos.co.uk/fdos_download.htmldisk
8 has the Forth on it, as seen here http://www.samcoupe-pro-dos.co.uk/cpmforth.htmlor
mail me off list.
That said, was there a Forth written on a diskzine? I'm sure, I read
somewhere that there was such a file but, I don't have it. I would like to
thou.

FDOS -011- Database Applications

If you have any of them its best to make an image with Si`s samdisk

should not an issue , remember this is a preservation project. That's it

Re: Re[2]: Text conversion

2005-02-06 Thread MorriganCP

to get listings from Sam basic in to a text file for pdfs this is what I
did.

install a new printer in windows that prints to text. a Generic / Text Only
printer.

from sim coupe just point to that printer, which prints the listing to the
file.

one thing to remember that by default windows will put the file into the
system32 windows dir.
So when the input box appears to type in the file name make sure you put in
a path c:\temp\somename.txt
and you will find it in your C:\temp if you have one.

That may of no use to you and may be obvious to others but thats all I
do.

Hi folks,

Campion The Speadsheet GM-Calc are now finished as pdfs.

Campion is a supper manual to work with and a credit to the Campion
Software.

Both are true to the original manuals except Campion, where in the
original manual screenshots of the examples were done with the Spectrum version
which I have not been able to track down. So, Sam screenshots were used ,thats
to Sim Coupes screenshot button.

Both are on the NGV and will be upload to samcoupe.org later.

next pdf will be :

Sam Dice Utility

the Sam coupe Users guide is also being looked at , bookmarks ,OCR errors,
formatting and page size to A5 will be fixed , this may abit of time but should
be ready for the end of Feb.

Are there a Basic Compiler for SamCoupe ?
I have never seen one.

Are there a "Typedef struct" (for create a type of object) in
SamCoupeBasic?
This any help?:-

DEF PROC namekicks off the DEFinition of a named PROCedure, and DEF
PROC must be the first keyword in aprogram line (although preceding spaces
and colourcontrol codes are allowed). The procedure namemust start with
a letter, followed by a string of lettersor numbers or "$". Spaces are NOT
allowed as anypart of this name, and upper and lower case lettersare
treated exactly the same. But you can follow theprocedure name by a list of
parameters, which mustbe the names of variables, or you can use the
DATAkeyword. They automatically become LOCAL tothe procedure. When DATA
is used instead of aparameter list, no assignments are made, but the
listof actual parameters that occur after the procedurehas been called
can be dealt with by using READplus the function ITEM, which is explained
below.

Hi Folks,

Format Vo12 No 02 has been upload to the ftp.nvg.ntn.no , also if you have given me your incoming
on your web site you will find it there.

Someone emailed me and asked why start at the end and
work backwards? Well it’s where the Sam stuff is. The pdf is searchable – happy
reading.

2005-01-16 Thread MorriganCP

Ok, all errors that I have been told about have been fix!

a new upload has been made to ftp.nvg.ntnu.no /incoming

If Frode couldmove it and delete the old version - please!

I have had a few positive comments about it so I will start the rest.
Working backwards from Vol 12 No2 as if you have. Working backwards
means we get the Sam bits. If you have Vol 12 No 3 on wards and would like to
help - please email me at morriagcp @ aol . com .

Dose anyone know at which issue is stopped? . [Nev- you should know?]

I will be using this new software just for the formats the other pdfs I did
use other software.

If you have sent me a list of errors in the Sam Basic Users Guide they have
bee corrected, But I am not going to compile a new pdf which will be version 2
yet, I want to finish adding the hyper jumps, like the ones in MasterDos
MasterBASIC pdf version 2.

Thanks for your kind comments,

Format Vol 10 No 10 [1-32].pdf sample pdf issue

2005-01-14 Thread MorriganCP

Hi
all,

Format Vol 10 No 10
[1-32].pdf sample pdf issue has been upload to

ftp://ftp.nvg.ntnu.no/pub/sam-coupe/

Frode will move it
to the Docs as its in the incoming at the moment I think.

The [1-32] = number
of pages.

best to get A-Reader
version 7 to read it, you can search the text, copy paste.
Some of the headings
are as a graphic scan . The new software I have been testing looks at its up to
the job

So What do you
think? Do you want more?

Can you help in the names or even point me to where they are?

Loading Sam Tape into Sim Coupe

2005-01-09 Thread MorriganCP

Hi all,

This is something I have never done but with the talk of Sams tape I
wondered if they can be loaded in Via the printer port , like the Z80 spectrum
emulator?

Do any of the emulator support this?

As you could get a little gizmo [ from BG Services ] which fitted to
the printer port - I still have one and would like to give it a try.

Re: Format returns

2004-12-09 Thread MorriganCP

I would just like to point out that the WoS Formats are not a proper pdf,
just scans placed in a word doc and then compiled into a pdf.

You cannot search copy, paste any thing from them. You just as might
as well have the scans. I see no point in make pfds that are just scans
what do you think?

Formats as pdfs - now that would be a big job , different fonts, scans for
adverts I did do a proper pdf of a format of issue 10 , to see if it was
worth it. but the file got lost on one of my machines.

BTY: MasterDos pdf 50% complete.

December 2004 see's the 15th Birthday of the Sam Coupe! Did anyonehere

Yes!, I got my Sam`s from a Show in Blackpool, some hotel, it was a very

I think I was the first person to buy from Bruce and Miles at that
Show.

My Sam has been in "every day use since".
