LAM is a web frontend for managing accounts stored in an LDAP directory.

This release makes LAM compatible with PHP 5.3. It also allows you to
hide unneeded input fields on the account pages. There is now a separate
button on the account pages where you can set all passwords (e.g. Unix,
Samba) at the same time.

There were two problems in 1.0.2 with Unix passwords. The invalid
password option does not work, users can login with password *. This
option has been removed.
The second issue is related to disabled passwords. If editing users
without changing to the Unix page the password is silently reenabled.

A web frontend for managing accounts stored in an OpenLDAP server.

Announcement

The LDAP Account Manager team is pleased to release another beta
version of LAM. This is mainly a bugfix release, please check the
changelog for more details.
LAM is a set of PHP-scripts to administrate entries of a LDAP server.
User, group and Samba accounts can be displayed, searched, filtered,
added, removed and edited over an easy to use web interface. Even the
configuration options are embedded in the interface.
This is a beta version, do not use it in a productive environment!

- management of Samba 2.x/3 user and host accounts
  (sambaAccount/sambaSamAccount)
- profiles for account creation
- editor for organizational units (OU)
- account creation via file upload

There is also a FreeBSD port.

Debian users may use the packages in unstable or on Debian Mentors.

[Samba] Net rpc vampire + LDAP broken?

I tried to migrate a NT4 domain to Samba. There was no problem joining
the domain and the SID was imported. But when I execute net rpc vampire
- -S MYNT4PDC -U Administrator%passwd I get the following result:

Samba seems to find all users and groups but it does not add them to
LDAP. In my LDAP log are a bunch of searches for the users and groups
but not a single add operation.
Samba has the correct admin password, the bind is successful.
pdbedit -L shows no imported accounts.
