[Samba] does anyone use the enumports command for anything useful ?
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 I'm just wondering if we should remove this enum ports command altogether. Ports are a consemtic concept in Samba for the most port since the printer is really tied to the queue name. But before I think about this anymore is there anyone actually using enumports for something other than #!/bi/sh echo LPT1: echo LPT2: echo LPT3: ? cheers, jerry -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCxCmGIR7qMdg1EfYRAouQAJ9qqpBio3EVVh63t7eqXBjRXAfd+QCeMn3f hNN3eH40s9x3orSwoQeVQkw= =zxtL -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba

Also, is there any reason why not drop some paramater in smb.conf which has a synonym? I found arround 15 synonyms. Next is to reduce the number of parameter, it still scared me :-) -- --beast -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
