*Position Summary:*

The Project Manager reports to the Development Manager and is ultimately
responsible for the successful delivery of software solutions to the
end-users. In pursuit of this goal, the Project Manager will need to:
manage relationships with multiple stakeholders; assemble and manage a
cross-functional team of technologists and analysts; define implementation
plans and estimate schedule, effort and cost; assess the quality of the
work; manage progress, risks and problems throughout the project life
cycle; manage multiple concurrent projects with shared resources; and,
ensure the customer’s satisfaction with the final product.



The ideal candidate will have experience establishing excellent project
management practices and have a track record of continuously raising the
bar and solving problems.  He will have experience using multiple solution
development methods and be capable of selecting the correct approach for
any given project.  He should also have experience with a wide variety of
information technology platforms including custom and packaged software
solutions.  The ideal candidate will have an excellent track record
managing complex projects in challenging, dynamic environments.



The role will report to the Development Manager.

*Description*



*The Project Manager is responsible for driving and delivering highly
complex projects for the Client Services Technology department. *

Some activities this implies are:



   - Defining and managing the scope, schedule and plan for projects
   throughout the life cycle.
   - Assembling an excellent team of internal and external resources, and
   managing them throughout the project.
   - Managing all significant issues and risks and escalating as necessary.
   - Making the project transparent to the sponsors and stakeholders.
   - Managing relationships with internal and external partners.
   - Continuously improving own and CS Tech’s capabilities to deliver
   projects.Ensuring business requirements are well documented and
   understood by the entire team
   - Constantly challenging the benefits of a project and ensuring that the
   project goals are aligned with the business strategy.



*Position Requirements:*

§ Has 5-7+ years of experience (see below) in managing complex software
projects in demanding environments.

§ Has experience using multiple solution development life cycles (e.g.
RUP, Agile, etc.)

§ Experienced in building and leading high performance teams.

§ Experienced in managing technology and consulting vendor
relationships.



*Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:*

   - PMP or other similar industry certifications
   - Experience managing the development of custom and packaged
   applications for internal and external users
   - Knowledge about or experience with capital markets or portfolio
   management
   - Experience with front office technologies such as CRM, Business
   Intelligence, Workflow / Process Management, Knowledge Management, etc.
   - Experience managing a portfolio of applications

- Experience.  5+ years of responsibility for project delivery.  7+
  years of total related experience in project management or development.
  - Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, especially Agile /
  Scrum.

I need a Project Manager for my client in Hartford, CT.The project is 4
months and begins January 15, 2011.

Ideally, I need a Project Manager with proven experience providing team
leadership and ensuring that project team members meet or exceed goals,
builds collaborative relationships with business partners by providing
constant communication, regular input and feedback to create win-win
solutions.

The candidate must have:


   - Demonstrated experience initiating, planning, executing, controlling,
   and closing projects associated with the development and implementation of
   business applications and technology solutions.
   - Thorough understanding and experience of Agile methodologies to deliver
   business solutions incrementally, and mentors project team members on
   project management processes, best practices and standards.
   - Interacts with Business Partners and IT to ensure features and
   specifications are understood.

   - Manage one large or multiple small projects and preserve key project
   documents.
   - Create Project Charters, Business Cases, and Work Breakdown Structures
   to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.


The rate is $60/hr all inclusive on a Corp 2 Corp.
