work with and support business segments with the installation and tuning of
WebLogic Application Servers on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems (RHEL).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

WebLogic Administrator who will be a primary resource in supporting the Web
and Applications layers of our client’s IT Critical Business Systems.  This
individual must possess advanced troubleshooting skills and detailed
knowledge of the products used in their Infrastructure.  These applications
include Order Management System, Middleware, Customer Facing Applications.
This position works with the Development, Testing, Incident and Problem
Management groups to implement new applications in production, install new
releases of existing applications and troubleshoot issues across their
Production and Non-Production environments.


*Minimal Qualifications:*Bachelor of Science in Computer Science,
Information Technology or equivalent.
5 + years of experience with the following
•Oracle (BEA) *WebLogic Server 8.x/9.x/10.x*
•Microsoft *IIS 6/7*
•Windows *OS, Linux OS*

*Other Requirements:*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent personal skills
Proven experience with administrating 24/7 business critical applications.
Keen understanding of large enterprise multi-tier application environments
Proficient with J2EE applications and deployments

*  3+ years of experience in Apache Tomcat 5.x/6.x Application Server
Install, Configuration and Support.

*  2+ years of Web Logic or Tomcat Administrator experience, with
knowledge in clustering, JMS, Connection Pools, J2EE Deployments, Thread
Dump Analysis.

*  2+ years of experience working on capacity planning and performance
tuning of J2EE applications and platforms, using Java profilers or Wily
Introscope.

*  2+ years of experience in Linux and/or Solaris is required.

*  Ability to analyze and troubleshoot in a 3 tier J2EE application
environment on UNIX.

*  Willingness to mentor, have strong analytical, technical
documentation, and excellent business communication skills are required.

*  Must demonstrate solid understanding of SDLC and change control

implementing WebLogic Server 11g running Oracle Portal 10.3 in a high
availability mode RAC cluster. They will be publishing Oracle Forms and
Reports as well as Java applications.  **This DBA should have experience as
a WebLogic Administrator with strong configuration experience. Experience is
needed in 11i and R12 implementations, upgrade and migrations (from Windows
to Linux and from Solaris or HP to Linux. Extensive performance tuning
experience on Oracle RAC components is also required.  *

Summary
Looking for is an Application DBA with experience in build and maintenance
of a WebLogic server v10.3 or higher running on a multi-node rack Linux
cluster in a high availability configuration and load balancer.  The DBA
must be able to configure the WebLogic environment to run our custom
application (we do not use any purchased packages).  Our custom code is
written in Oracle Portal, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports and Java.  The
difficult piece of this assignment is that Oracle Portal, Forms and Reports
were first available on WebLogic in July 2009.  For a DBA to have experience
in their configuration they would have had to had experience in Application
Server administration as well.Our WebLogic server is about 90% complete but
we are having major issues with the custom configuration.  *
