10+ Years Java/JEE development experience in an enterprise, 2 years Lead
experience.



• • 4+ years Experience in Grails Web Framework and Groovy
Language.

• • Must have experience integrating Grails code with front-end
JavaScript frameworks including Jquery.

• • Must have experience working with XML and JSON using
Grails, JMS and Web, services, XML, Apache Tomcat, SQL and Unix and GIT.

• • Experience with RDMS concepts and SQL.

• • Experience with RESTful Web Services.

• • Understanding of proper application design techniques and
methodologies.

• • Proficient understanding of SDLC processes desired – Agile

Must-haves: 
Need consultant who have strong spring and web services experience. 

Must have strong financial experience with min. 8 years IT experience.

 

 

Job Purpose/ Description:  

. Develops using an OOP language. 

. Examples of required OOP languages are Java in a J2EE environment. 

. Develops solutions using the Spring Framework building web services. 

. Translates business requirements into functional / technical
specifications; oversees implementation of these specifications. 

. Evaluates and implements new initiatives on process improvement and
technology initiatives. 

. Excels at analyzing functional needs that drive the analysis and technical
design of quality technical solutions; recommends solutions that are aligned
with business / IT strategies and complies with corporate architectural
standards. 

. Serves as SME in all aspects of systems / applications software technology
and / or application components. 

. Resolves application and technical problems of the highest complexity. 

. Leads interdepartmental or interdivisional operational project
initiatives. 

. Analyzes performance and capacity issues of the highest complexity with
systems / applications software and/or application components. 

. Provides mentoring and training to junior staff. 

. Serves as initial point of escalation for all processing and operational
issues. 

. Assists management in coordinating business area activities and balancing
workload. 

. May design, implement and improve workflows, as well as assign projects. 

. Excels at working collaboratively with IT staff on development,
troubleshooting, and other technical efforts. 

. Performs software architecture and systems design. 

. Translates business requirements into functional / technical
specifications; oversees implementation of these specifications. 

 

Required education/experience:

. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science,
Information Systems, or other related field. 

. 8 plus years of IT work experience in systems programming / analysis 

. Typically experienced across multiple Information Technology areas and all
system / applications software development. 

. Serves as point of escalation for complex issues. 

. Responsible for developing and executing project plans, as well as
coordinating groups of IT staff. 

. Strong experience required in J2EE solutioning and developing Web
Services. Prefer experience with MQ and multi-threading. Will be responsible
