Re: [scifinoir2] Tin Man Part 2
And then there was part 3. It could have been, if not great, then pleasingly entertaining. The first half of the third part was for the most part, on par with the first two parts. The direction and writing were awkward at times and some of the plot points were a little on the silly side but still a really fun and imaginitive feeling piece of television and then the ending came and it was a festival of suck. It was almost as if they hired a new set of worse writers to put together the last 30 minutes and those writers decided that every charming and interesting part of the story should be culled while while every bit of plodding awkwardness should be expanded upon. I won't throw out any spoilers but prepare to yearn for a nap. I JUST finished watching Part 2 and thought the exact same thing. This is perhaps the most imaginative thing SFC has ever done. Too bad SFC chose the script and director. [scifinoir2] Tin Man Part 2
Last night I watched part 2 of Tin Man. I found it to be in some ways better than part one. The same problems plagued both parts but the story keeps getting better and better. Part Indiana Jones Adventure and Part Nancy Drew Mystery all wrapped up in a really nice looking and well imagined Oz. I have to say that I am finding the whole thing very inventive and charming. Sci-fi should really look into investing in better writing and directing. Those are my only real complaints. B I got friends who are in prison and Friends who are dead. I'm gonna tell ya something that I've often said. You know these things that happen, That's just the way it's supposed to be. And I can't help but wonder, Don't ya know it coulda been me.
