No exactly sure if you;re after the number of times the value name appears in the name of a field or whether a field name has a value whatever x number of times Assuming the latter select count(*) as 'no_of_times' from table1 where name = 'whatever' last one can be where name like '%whatever%' if you want to find the value anywhere in the string cds
Re: [Scottish] OT : web design
Before spending any money I'd recommend a look at http://htmlgoodies.earthweb.com/ Tutorials on there cover HTML, style sheets, javscript, etc. with downloadable examples. Personally, I very rarely feel cheated out of my money when I buy O'Reilly. A friend of mine wants to make a site for his band, but has no clue of how to go about it. He's computer literate, has a nice new Mac and a lot of time on his hands. Any ideas ? Re: [Scottish] hard drives
Neil, Touch wood, I've never had any trouble with the 12 Maxtors that I've either bought for myself or specified for my customers. Just don't buy a Fujitsu for god sake ! :) You never know how many other skeletons may lurk in that closet. Regards, Cammy. Neil Sinclair said: Hi - I'm just about to buy a new hard drive, and I've been hearing horrible stories about Maxtor (cheap but icky) and IBM (just flaky for 2 drive models, other more recent models seem ok). I'm tempted by Western Digital (WD800JB - 80Gb, 8Mb buffer, 7200rpm) who I've alway found reliable, and by the Seagate iv series - Main apps are audio processing (audacity) and simple office stuff, odd bit of html and Delphi. Any info / experience would be welcome before I part with my hard-earned cash! regards, Neil. ___ Scottish mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/scottish -- Cameron Logie - Rushbrook IT Internet | Systems | Security Linux solutions for forward thinkers [W] http://www.rushbrookit.com/ [E] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [T] 0870 765 0620 ___ Scottish mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/scottish
