There was one on Ebaymotors not too long ago Perhaps its still
available?

Or you could just get a standard Omni grill and paint the chrome
semi-gloss black.

SD Minivan movie now playing

2004-12-17 Thread David Salamone
If you're a early model Dodge minivan fan there's a pretty cheezy movie on the
cable channel TNT network right now called The Big Hit. It has a hilarious
scene towards the end where the bad guys all drive a pack of Dodge minivans in
a big chase scene.

SD Forged Common Block Crank FS

2004-12-17 Thread SoCalShelbyGuy
I pulled a very nice standard/standard forged common block crank at the yard
today. I already have a spare incase I hurt something in one of my motors
so I'll offer it here before listing it on Ebay. This thing is like
perfect, odometer indicated 46K miles, oil was clean, and every bearing rod
and main was perfect with no color showing thru. Also this was an automatic
car so even the #3 main didn't have any side load wear from a lifetime worth
of clutch actuation. As close to new as you can get while still being 15
years in a motor, a micro polish and you're running. $225. +shipping, yeah
that's a bit steep but this yard charges $75 + 18 core so I am not exactly
price gouging here. It was a crying shame to leave the pistons/rods but the
yard was closing and I was out of time :-(

Re: SD STARTER RELAY VS. IGNITION SWITCH

2004-12-17 Thread Bryce Kennedy
Probably the negative(small side) of the starter wiring is contacting the
block and engaging the starter. The wires run very close to the block and can
get offset and touch.

Today on highway, screeching sound starts, pull call over, still
screeching, turn key off, remove from ignition and the car is trying to
turn over on its own.(Sound was not as loud as when you start the car under
regular conditions like real loud clicking ) Turn key and car runs without
cranking over. Guess the screeching sound was the starter engaging???My
mopar mechanic said sounds like the starter relay...

does this seem more feasible than an ignition switch??? And have you ever
 heard of this B4?

 Let Me Know,

Sorry it's late I meant they are both positive wires big and small but if they
hit the block it makes the connection and turns the starter.
