SD> Re:Shelby Dodges defended in Car and Driver!
I have the answer to all of our problems. All we need to do is follow Stephen King/John Carpenters sterling recipe with "Christine." Take a relatively unknown and VERY rare vehicle which not many folks recall unless they see one and then of course, confuse it for a '57 Chevy, make a movie with it as the star and BANG! They become a serious and widely accepted example of Americana in the mainstream and ultimately increase the value of our vehicles without the death of an old guy named Shelby. RE: SD> Re:Shelby Dodges defended in Car and Driver!
I saw the wraith. Two things it did NOT have: a good story and an unacknowledged classic vehicle. 1986 wouldn't render ANY of our SD's as classic or collector material. SD> RE SD Last Call!! '87 GLHS # 0567 AS IS $600.00
You know. I'm sick of everyone clogging the digest with cry-baby stories about numbered cars. I have seen "enthusiasts" whine about not parting the car out because it's worth saving. Bottom line here is that it is only worth what people can/will pay PERIOD. I have/had numerous Shelby's and would much rather have sold them as whole to a restorer but they simply aren't there because it seems the majority of "enthusiasts" are on a shoe-string budget which is ok. It's alright, but don't whine about it when someone can't sell the car whole because you'll sooner buy the damn parts than do the work to save it. 02. ---REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING Questions? Is the power steering rack any different than the other 91 shadows with PS? What about the PS pump? Any info is appreciated. Thanks! Shaun Murphy ---REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING Questions? Visit http://www.sdml.org/ To be removed, visit http://www.sdml.org/pages/leave.html

Zero, Zip, Zilch, Nada. Shall I part the car out instead of repair it? Taking offers on ALL CSX-VNT parts I guess. ---REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING Questions? SD> Re: 89 CSX steering rack info
I just wanted to apologize for posting such a hasty message. It was not intended to be that way and I certainly failed the first time to illustrate the urgency of the info I needed. I lost sight of the fact that we're all driving similar vehicles and most if not everyone on here knows what it's like to have one down. I'm just trying to keep a numbered car on the road. I apologize to everyone who had to read my unsavory and uncalled for post. No need to reply I certainly feel bad enough already. Shaun Murphy. ---REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING Questions? SD> Shelby values
They ARE under-appreciated and probably always will BE. In my experience people talk their crap until they get a ride or race. Lame, why waste fuel converting undeserving idiots? I've also had my share that I tried my damnedest to SAVE. My advice.. part the SOB. People don't want to pay for it even though you are trying to keep it whole..Me too and TRUST me here.. it's easier to get some money than to sell at a loss and watch some other dude part your car out. Leave your sentiments and attachment at the door. I'm not liking being cold here but that IS my experience UNLESS you have quite a bit of time to spare and a garage to store it in. Good luck to you man! Check Out the new free AIM(R) Mail -- 2 GB of storage and industry-leading spam and email virus protection. ---REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING Questions?
