Hi all, got some stuff for sale I got a daytona sub frame, complete still has the struts and a brake assembly's, A520 Tranny 3.55 final drive 55K 2.2 Engine, came out of a 88 Daytona C/S 55K turbo is bad, motor is complete, no AC I'm not sure if it's a TII, it had a factory intercooler If anyone can tell me what to look for to see if it's TII could you please let me know. I just need to clean out my garage, shoot me a price on anything. I don't need a million dollars out of anything. I know shippingis a factor so I'm not picky on what it will go for. I have a motor out of an 88 Daytona C/S. I believe it's a TII, but not entirely sure. I dropped the entire motor and trans and sub-frame assembly. It's taking up too much space and I need to get rid of it. I have have no problem disassembling the engine and tranny from the sub-frame. The tranny is an A-523. The car when I got it had only 55K on it. If anyone is interested in any parts let me. If you want any pictures, be it of the engine/transmission, feel free to ask I'll take some. SD Daytona On Speed TV/Daytona BBQ Grill
I don't know if anyone caught speedvision last night but I was flipping through the channels and I came across a show called The Kustomizer and the guy took a what looked to be an 86 Daytona and cut it up and put some bbq grills on it. SD Stuff that needs to be gone
I have a complete engine out of a 88 Daytona C/S. Turbo is bad (broken shaft) with a 523 tranny, I think it's got 3.55 gears, I can't remember. It's still on the subframe. I just have to get rid of it, make me some offers. Just don't have any room for it and it needs to be moved, come pick it up, or shipping can be arranged. Not so much ruined, I mostly meant, what was this guy thinking. I think the stock wheels look better than the aftermarket ones. The wing is ridiculous. That goes without saying. Just what goes through some peoples minds amazes me. I saw a metro the other day around town, with a DEI stickers down the side and a big number 3 on the door. With spinner hubcaps, Some people have no taste. Jeff Nahh... I don't like the neon lights either, but that kinda crap is easy to remove. I don't sweat little crap like that. Let me put it this way: if he changed the paint to copper, added an aztec warrior or some kind of striping on the sides, threw on some spinners or tri-spoke wheels, Put erroneous badging on it, and some other permenant and hideous things, THEN I could understand your sentiments. As it stands, the only permenant thing to tackle is the wing, and judging from the design, themost you'd have to do is fill in the bolt holes after removing it. Otherwise the other crap is a no-brainer, and the car is basically clean beyond that. Look twice, think twice ;) I still say it's a good opportunity, and would take half a day, some filer, and a paint can to return it to its Carroll-intended appearance. Picked up an 1986 Omni GLH 2.2 turbo, was wondering if anybody was looking for one. It's silver, the body is pretty clean, doesn't need much work. Interior is ok. Needs a tranny. I was in Broadus Montana the other day and I ran across an Omni GLH, not to badly beat as a matter of fact. I asked around, and someone parked it there to be worked on by an auto shop. The VIN for the one I had checked out saying it was a TI. It did not have the bulge hood, but it had a A523 tranny. It was a Vin A car I believe. That's what alldata looked for when you checked it out. Same as my Shelby was a Vin A. Because I think in 88 there was Vin A, and Vin E. I'm not sure if Vin E is correct but I believe so. If I can score a digital camera one of these day's I'll take a few pictures and post them to see if anyone can properly identify this engine. I wanna say its got a 782 head on it too, but I can't remember. Maybe this car was a late 88? maybe got the TII? I don't know. SD Daytona C/S
I came across an 88 Daytona C/S and I checked the vin and it said it was Turbo I car. Under the hood low and behold was a turbo II engine. It had a A-523 Transmisson in it which I thought was a little strange. I figured it would have a A555. But it had a full manual interior. Painted intake, intercooled, car only had 55k on it. But the turbo had a broken shaft. I still have the engine and tranny in my garage. I'm fairly sure it was a TII. Wow what kinda suckers do they think we are? It like the electric superchargers they sell, that are more of a restriction. Those sell for 139.99$ though on ebay, a 12v fan that you put in you intake plumber that pushes like 230cfm. maybe at idle, but not with your foot in. SD F/S 88 Shelby Daytona
I hope this one goes through once again. 1988 Shelby Daytona S60 Turbo, 40% injectors, S60 computer, port and polished head with back cut valves and a 3 angle valve grind, 3 bar map sensor, 1G Blow off Valve, Turbo XS manual Boost controller, 35 psi boost gauge with a dual pillar gauge pod. A-555 tranny Extra parts included TI daytona radiator, semi polished TII intercooler, TII computer (I think) Also from a 1988 Daytona C/S TII Engine/Tranny combo still botled to the sub-frame. 55k miles, turbo has a broken shaft. A-523 Tranny. I wish I had time and a place to work on it but I can't anymore. Car runs and drives, I think it would be easier to trailer all of it. $1500 or best offer, Pictures are available upon request. Just let me know what you want to see. Well I'm gonna post this again, Apparently It didnt go through For Sale 1500$ Takes all 88 Shelby Daytona The Good S60 Turbo, S60 Computer, 3 Bar Map Sensor, 40% injectors, 1G BOV, Port and Polished Head with a 3 angle valve grind and back cut valves. MP Dual Spring Valve Springs, Home made intake RACTIVE filter. The car has that fwd performance 2.5 exhaust, no cat with a turbo muffler. The Bad Body's in decent shape needs paint, all the clear is peeling, go fiigure. A-555 3.85 final drive. Works for now but I think its got problems. Interior is in good shape but dirty. Power window does not work so 1 window down about 3 inches. Headliner and console cover in excellent shape. The Extras. Ok heres the real deal thats included, TII engine and A-523 tranny. Still bolted to subframe. Car removed from only had 55k miles. Boken shaft on the turbo. TI radiator included along with a semi-polished intercooler. I think I have an extra TII computer, map sensor and injectors. Numerous other parts. 35psi boost gauge and a dual pillar gauge pod. I wish I had more time to work on it but I got a new job and I have no place anymore to do it. I just need it gone. It runs and drives, needs a windshield. Boost is only set at 15 psi due to not have a bigger fuel pump. I can get pictures of anything and everything upon request. Everything is located in Rapid City South Dakota. SD Must sell!!!
Well I've come to terms with it unfortunately. I got an 88 Shelby Daytona S60 turbo, 40%injectors, 3 bar map sensor, S60 computer, manual boost controller, 35psi boost gauge dual piller gauge pod 555 tranny. Port polished head back cut valves, bigger valve springs. I just don't have time or a place to work on it anymore. It still needs some work, runs good, boost only set at 15psi right now since I dont have a bigger fuel pump. Thats is the good. Bobdy is fairly straight need paint, all the clear is peeling off go figure. Interior is good shape but kinda dirty, nice headliner and console, no radio. Windshield is cracked to hell. I'm gonna give someone a deal hopefully. I'm asking 1500$ or best offer. Plus I have an extra engine tranny combo I beilve its a TII with a A523 that only had 55k on it. At least thats what the odometer said on the car I took it out of. It was an 88 Daytona C/S that was intercooled. Its got a T02 Garrett but the shaft is broken. The engine and tranny is still bolted to the sub-frame. I have an TII computer and TI daytona radiator, plus a semi polished intercooler, set of crab wheels, I think 15x6. not the greatest shape but the could be cleaned up nice. Everything is located in Rapid City South Dakota. Car runs and drives but it would probably be better to trailer everything. I can take pictures upon request of car and extra engine and tranny.
