SD Radiator Fan Ideas

2006-02-26 Thread Mike Fisher
Alright, here's the deal... I need to slide my radiator over in my 85
SC. Course, as you guessed, my fan is too deep and runs into the oil
filter and thermostat housing and related sensors. Has anyone came up
with a good replacement low profile fan to use in these cars? I want to
have a shroud though, since the fan is pretty much useless without it.
Thanks for any ideas...

Mike

SD Radiator

2005-10-07 Thread Al Curtis
Does anyone know of a source for a NEW 87-89 turbo II radiator, have checked
with a couple of suppliers and any p/n i give them comes up a standard full
size radiator. Most of the places though list the correct intercooled lower
radiator hose (shorter) but show the app for the standard radiator along with
the correct longer lower hose--weird.

You'll have to have it recored at a radiator shop. Should be about $250
since it's a custom-ordered core.

Re: SD Radiator Question

2005-06-06 Thread Thomas McCabe

John,
The standard V6 radiator is the same as the 2.5 Turbo. They did
make another radiator for minis with the V6 and a trailer tow package. I
don't know the difference.

Based on the way my van runs here in Chicago, I'd recommend a fan upgrade
to one that move more air than stock. The stock fan on mine seems
inadequate. I have been using the '91 2.5 mini fan. It has more blades
and flows more air.

Good Luck!

Tom

If I ask for one for a V-6 is it better? If so will it fit easily?
