Re: SD> loses power when give throttle
Remember it is 55psi static "over boost pressure". You either need to disconnect the vacuum line going to the regulator, or it will read lower with vacuum at the manifold. It would be closer to 40psi I think, either way, if it show 10psi, it is likely your problem... - Original Message - From: "Neil Emiro" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: ; "Ryan Fors" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, September 29, 2008 8:00 PM Subject: Re: SD> loses power when give throttle > What ECU/calibration are you using? Sounds like a clogged catalytic converter. Mike ___REMOVE-FOOTER-WHEN-REPLYING_ ShelbyDodge mailing list ShelbyDodge@imagilist.com http://www.imagilist.com/mailman/listinfo/shelbydodge

What computer is it using? Do you still have the stock injectors and stock fuel pressure regulator? --- On Mon, 9/29/08, Ryan Fors <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: Ryan Fors <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: SD> loses power when give throttle > To: shelbydodge@imagilist.com > Date: Monday, September 29, 2008, 4:54 PM > Looking for a little help, I am trying to fix my dads 88 > daytona shelby z. it is a t2, 5 speed with .63 a/r turbo, i > believe 40% injectors, 2 piece intake, adjustable fuel > pressure reg at 30 psi. Re: SD> loses power when give throttle
What ECU/calibration are you using? Base pressure should be at 55psi. On 29 Sep 2008 at 23:54, Ryan Fors wrote: Looking for a little help, I am trying to fix my dads 88 daytona shelby z. it is a t2, 5 speed with .63 a/r turbo, i believe 40% injectors, 2 piece intake, adjustable fuel pressure reg at 30 psi. The fuel pressure is rising when it given throttle, so i think the pump is fine. Anyway my problem is that when you give it throttle it bogs really bad to the point where it is not driveable. there is no check engine light on. and it idles just fine. it just got new plugs and fuel filter, needed both, but still same problem. All 4 plugs looked the same, carbon fouled. Anyone have any ideas on which direction to point me. Also what psi should I have the fuel pressure reg at idle.
