just out of curiosity, I looked through all the original Shelby Dealer Flyers (86 and 87 GLHS, Shelby Lancer, 87 CSX, 89 CSX and Truck), all five issues of Shelby Times and all the magazine articles on any Shelby Car and everything else I could find. Plastic Wagners were OEM on my 1988 Sundance as well as the lights that
were on my 1988 Shelby CSX-T when I purchased that car.

in May '89. That was soon after Thrifty released them for public sale.
Ours had only 6k miles on it's clock. I believe it was all original. I
still have the original headlites on a shelf in the shop. They are
Wagner, 12.8v, HP6545, dot H8S, 65/45w, C8. They are plastic! I
installed Hella's shortly after we got it home. Hope this gives you a
direction to go.
