[Sikuli-driver] [Bug 1361985] Re: [X1.0rc3] IDE does not launch in OSX 10.10

2014-08-27 Thread RaiMan
Sikuli X1.0rc3 will never run on OSX 10.10 since it is not developed any
more.

... but currently the successors SikuliX 1.0.1 and 1.1.0-Beta4 do not
run either on OSX 10.10 because of the mentioned second problem.

I currently have no idea, wether this problem will be fixed in
SikuliX-1.1.0 before final release of OSX 10.10 (depending on the
necessary fixes it will never be fixed in version 1.0.1).

[Sikuli-driver] [Bug 1362011] [NEW] [ALL VERSIONS] IDE does not start up on MAC OSX 10.10 Yosemite

2014-08-27 Thread RaiMan
Public bug reported:

RC3: will never be supported on OSX 10.10
1.0.1: running scripts from command line should work (sikuli-script.jar) and
usage in Java (sikuli-java.jar)
1.1.0: same as 1.0.1 (sikulix.jar to run scripts and sikulixapi.jar for usage
with Java)

IDE 1.1.0 will definitely be fixed to run on OSX 10.10 (not clear now when this
will be)
IDE 1.0.1 might be fixed depending on the needed solution

--
I was trying to run Sikuli 1.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.10. But it doesn't even able to
open it immediately turns into not responding mode.
I have tried it with sikuli 1.1 beta version but this also not able to open
sikuli. Please let me know if anyone has resolved this issue.

  Step to repo:
  1. Create script with image e.g: C:\TEST\call_fun.sikuli
  from sikuli import *

  def one(name):
  try:
  find(1.png)
  #do something
  except:
  #do something

  2. Create other script e.g: C:\TEST\FUN\fun_1.sikuli :
  ScriPath = C:\\TEST\\call_fun.sikuli
  AddImagePath(C:\\TEST\\call_fun.sikuli)

  import call_fun
  import unittest

  Got:

Re: [Sikuli-driver] [Question #250392]: [1.0.1] OSX 10.10: IDE doesn't work using Java 6 --- not clear when this will be fixed

2014-08-27 Thread RaiMan
Question #250392 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/250392

RaiMan proposed the following answer:
I now have a running OSX 10.10 with Javas 6, 7, 8 and NetBeans 8
(compiling with Java 7).

The problem is reproducible in all cases and seems to be some incompatibility
down to the Mac feature with the setup of a search field using
org.jdesktop.swingxJXSearchField

I for now switched of the IDE search option when running on OSX 10.10.

BTW:
Java 6 (Apple version) and Java 8 install without problems.

Java 7 yet is not installable with the standard package: the installer crashes
when evaluating the needed minimum OSX version (non-intelligent compare ;-).
To get it on your machine you have to:
- unpack the .pkg contained in the .dmg (I use Unarchiver.app) to a writable
folder
- the resulting folder contains a jdk17067.pkg
- in Finder context menu - ShowPackageContents
- this reveals 4 compressed archive files
- doubleclick Payload which in turn reveals a folder Content
- move this folder to /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_67.jdk

… and
/usr/libexec/java_home -V
will show you the JDK 7 as available

to switch to Java 7 on command line:
export JAVA_HOME=`/usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.7`

[Sikuli-driver] [Question #253716]: Sikuli generates useless PNG files while running...

2014-08-27 Thread prokher
New question #253716 on Sikuli:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/253716

Hi all!

I faced the following problem. During running Sikuli script it generates
useless PNG files in the test directory. Looks like it makes screenshot every
time method exists() fails. I am using stable 1.0.1. There is simple script to
reproduce this behavior below. IDE feature to remove useless PNG helps, but not
when I run tests in batch mode using our cmake/ctest routine... Is there any
setting to disable this?

app = App(gnome-calculator)
app.open()
for i in xrange(int(100500)):
  wnd = app.window()
  if wnd is not None:
with Region(wnd) as region:

Re: [Sikuli-driver] [Question #231661]: [1.0] Env.getOS() return MAC on linux centos 6.4

Question #231661 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/231661

Zed Zulu posted a new comment:
So I know it's technically deprecated, but it seems there's a typo in
Env.getOS()

/**
   * use Settings.isWindows .isMac .isLinux instead
   * @return the OS.XXX
   * @deprecated use the Settings features
   */
  @Deprecated
  public static OS getOS() {
if (Settings.isWindows()) {
return OS.WINDOWS;
} else if (Settings.isMac()) {
return OS.MAC;
} else if (Settings.isLinux()) {
return OS.MAC;
} else {
return OS.NOT_SUPPORTED;
}
}

It returns OS.MAC for when it's actually supposed to be Windows. Seems
like a typo?

[Sikuli-driver] [Question #253723]: How to Create a Repeatable Loop

2014-08-27 Thread max
New question #253723 on Sikuli:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/253723

Hi, I just downloaded Sikuli 2 days ago. The Language and constructs are all
very new to me, but the potential of this type of program is great. I have a
very simple question.

I have a program that runs overnight on my computer, but within the program the
publisher has some unavoidable pop-ups that must be clicked on to the close or
else the program is stagnant until I awake in the morning.

I attempted to make a Sikuli script to recognize a unique image within the
pop-ups and then click to close the pop-up. The script works, but it only works
for 1 occurrence. I want it to run continuously overnight to close the pop-ups
as they appear several times during the night.

Here is the script I wrote
1) wait (image, FOREVER)
2) click (image)

Right now once it clicks to close the pop-up, the sikuli program stops.
I would like it to Wait until the Image appears
then to perform the function of clicking to close the pop-up
then to go back to waiting until the next time the pop-up appears
to perform the function of clicking to close again
repeat
repeat
and so on
