Re: [Sikuli-driver] [Question #255938]: loop delays everything

Question #255938 on Sikuli changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/255938

Status: Needs information = Answered

RaiMan proposed the following answer:
Sikuli X-1.0RC3 is no longer supported for such probably system specific
problems.

I recommend, to give version 1.1.0 a try.
start here: http://sikulix.com - nightly builds

If you get the same symptoms with this version, then you have to debug
your scripts (… and then having more options with 1.1.0).

Take care:
- for Mac there is no longer an app
- keep the new SikuliX stuff together in one separate folder
- do not mix with RC3

Bug description:
Would it be possible to add some downloadable extensions to a future
  version?

  Was thinking something like:
  Win32py install
(http://starship.python.net/crew/mhammond/win32/Downloads.html)

Because if you have that installed (can't without a valid python dir,
so it's beyond me to install it to a xp environment, with only sikuli
on it.. ) you can use nice things like AD integration
  (http://timgolden.me.uk/python/active_directory.html) or pywinauto
  (https://code.google.com/p/pywinauto/downloads/list).

Also perhaps xlrd, xlutils and xlwt, (to read/write from excel sheets)
as direct downloads via the tools-extensions menu, would be a nice
  thing.

[Sikuli-driver] [Question #255975]: How to deal with the objects on screen with the changing text associated with it

2014-10-20 Thread Dipti Chaudhary
New question #255975 on Sikuli:
https://answers.launchpad.net/sikuli/+question/255975

I need to select some links on the screen which will have its text changing.
The names could be coming from some external file. Is there any way I could
work on these kind of objects ? So is there a way I could work on the Objects
based on its text and not the image using sikuli ?

Just to add one more thing to the question that here I am talking about
Mac, and the app I want to work on is not a web based app. For example :
suppose there is a folder that I want to open from the library, and name
of the folder keeps on changing. Is there a way to look for the object
with the text instead of the image ? I hope my question is clear.

Please paste a copy of the errors you get when running your program.
Also, it might help to initialize nb_quetes_tours_faites = 0 before going into
the while loop.
