Hi Kass

Could you tell me what strength (percentage) iodine you used? Was it pure
iodine, betadyne, or other?

Thanks,

 Hi Christian,
I experienced the same thing, and was on Synthroid until two years ago,
when I started on Armour (spelling), a natural thyroid supplement. Then I
saw a holistic Dr. who put a drop of iodine on my arm and told me to wait
8hrs and see if the dot disappeared. If it did, and it did, to start
putting a drop on my arm every day. It's been 6 months and I stopped
using
the pills 3 months ago. My thyroid gland doesn't have that pressure
feeling
it had for years. Have your friend give it a try.

  Hi List,

Does anyone have some advice for healing thyroid disorders? I have a
good
friend (female, 43, good general health) who has a thyroid ailment she
 says
the doctors call thyroiditis and multinodular thyroid. Apparently,
it
 is
neither goiter nor an overactive thyroid. Her thyroid has become
underactive. She is currently taking some allopathic medicine for this
  condition.

CS would of course be a good choice of treatment if some bugs are
 involved.
But isn't thyroid trouble mostly a result of inadequate iodine intake?
Or
  arsenic poisoning?

I would appreciate any advice you folks might have.

Re: CS and warts

I tried the usual bandaid/CS on a wart on the side of my left

   Hi Liz,
Sam says, could be a mole or wart. They are two different things.
Warts are caused by a virus, over 60 types of human papillomavirus
(HPV) are known.
A mole on the other hand is not caused by a virus, its genetic in
nature.
Your discription indicates a mole, but the only sure way to tell is by
clinical examination (cut out a snip). The fact that the CS did nothing
also leads to being a mole.
  Here are some types of moles;
*Lentigo* is flat, uniformally pigmented, brown to black spot. Does not
change with sun exposure.
*Junctional nevi* are flat or slightly elevated, light brown to nearly
black.
*Compound nevi* are dark and considerably elevated.
*Intradermal nevi* are flesh colored to black, elevated, and may be
smooth, hairy or warty.
*Halo nevi* are pigmented moles, usually compound or intradermal,
surrounded by a ring of depigmented skin.
*Dysplastic nevi* are irregular, pigmented from tan to dark brown on a
pink background.
Moles are not dangerous UNLESS they ENLARGE suddenly, DARKEN, or
become INFLAMED, show COLOR change or BLEEDING, ULCERATE, ITCH, or
become PAINFUL. Then an immediate biopsy should be done to see if it has
become a melanomas (tumorous). If so it needs to be removed as soon as
possible.

CSLyme Herxing Duration Question?

1999-11-07 Thread Nicole Fraser
(Sorry I made a mistake when I sent this the first time) Hello all! :0) I have
been using CS for about 5 weeks now..I am QUITE sure I am herxing. More tired
brain fog and concentration are even WORSE as if I thought that were ever
possible.;0/ LOL I have had Lyme for 3 years..I was only on doxy for about 10
days until I found CS thanks to Marsha;0). Now since I have had Lyme SOO long
before getting any treatment at all I am sure I have a long way to go? I am
ONLY taking CS for my treatment now. My question is to those of you who may
have been in a similar Lyme situation. How long did you herx?? I know we are
all different, but am just wondering how many weeks or months until I start to
feel better so I can get on with my life you know? Just an idea so I know if
this is normal or not? When I FIRST began the CS I noticed a little improvement
which lasted about 3 days (mostly some ENERGY)...then I think the herx started
to set in;0/. I guess I take about 6 oz of 20ppm CS a day. A!
ny advice out there??? Should I increase? I don't mind the herx..I figure I
will feel good once I have the worst behind me and just want to do that as fast
as I can! ;0) I don't mind feeling bad as long as RECOVERY is around the
corner! FINALLY!! I have had Lyme since I was 14..:0/. Also did anyone else
have problems with their ears?? Like you feel like there is fluid/pressure in
there and ringing at times? Also I think I have some hearing loss..ESPECIALLY
my right ear..did these things improve as your Lyme got better??? ANY help or
advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!! ;0) Nicole:O)

CSFw: 3 x 9V Battery Graph

Only had time to do one graph this weekend.
3 x 9 volt batteries, 200mls distilled water, in plastic container as
described previously, electrodes 2mm dia 45mm wetted depth, 45mm
 apart. More to come.

The adjusted conductivity reading sits on top of ppm (ISE) reading.

CSwarts

1999-11-07 Thread Liz Pavek
This is a wart. It is on the outside of my first knuckle, is circular, about 3
mm, has the typical beaded appearance of a wart. It is not pigmented, nor is
it rough, but it is definitely not scar tissue or a mole, either. It is one of
several on that hand, the rest being small, pinhead-sized, and in an irregular
group on the heel of my hand. I can't remember when they weren't there.

Re: CSLyme Herxing Duration Question?

1999-11-07 Thread Lee
Hi Nicole,

This is my second attempt at an answer...the first one just seemed to
disappear into the wilds of cyberspace...maybe it was too long? Oh I
had a stop spam thing in my address, will remove it this time.

I have been on CS now for about 4 weeks, strength of home brew as yet
unknown...still playing with it. I have had Lyme for 6+ years, was
undiagnosed for the first 4+ yrs, and took antibiotics for about 18
months until the yeast problem became bad...then I started CS.

Symptoms: can vary depending upon where the spirochetes hide out in your
body...frequently in nerves and tendons..and how your own immune system
responds. Ear problems and other cranial sites are commonwhich is
not to say that your ear problems are due to Lyme, just very likely.

Herxing: varies with the individual also. My symptoms are an increase
of pains in all their variety and a fluish feeling with burning eye
sensations.

Generally speaking the longer one has had Lyme the longer the treatment
period. As far as I know there are no good scientific studies on Lyme
and CS. I do not have any good info to guide me as to safe dosages,
but there are many annecdotal stories from others and I bet if we stay
within these parameters we are safe and hopefully effective. Your dose
of 6 oz of 20 ppms/day sounds reasonable from what I have read...some
take more...some less.

Email me privately to compare notes if you wish.

Re: CSLyme Herxing Duration Question?

1999-11-07 Thread TM4480
You sound like me. I've had lyme 4 years and just finished 10 months of IV
rocephin. Very toxic and did more harm than good. I've been on CS now for 5
months, 2 of that no IV. I'm just NOW starting to see big improvements in my
energy and pain/stiffness. I herx for a few days then have a few good ones
etc. I get very tired during herx and in more pain. I don't have ear problems
but got stuck with voice problems.

Keep at the CS. For me it's going to take a while but the good days are so
rewarding and they're coming more often now.
E mail if you need anything more-

Re: CSLyme Herxing Duration Question?

1999-11-07 Thread Jeffrey A. Madore
Hi Nicole

I've had Lyme Disease for about 10 years, tried many different
antibiotic therapies, without success.

Recently I began making my own CS and I've been taking it for about
12 days now. I have no clue as to the concentration I'm making, however,
I am adjusting various parameters while making it, and monitoring the
effect a given batch has on my symptoms.

A few days after starting CS my symptoms flared. I was taking a cup
per day in 3 doses. The flair-up was not hard to take and I started to
see improvement. Friday and Saturday were the two best days I've had
in many, many years.

Yesterday I popped the cork on a fresh brew, which I had made with large
surface area electrodes and longer time. I downed a cup of that. I hardly
slept last night and I feel very sick today. My fingers are all cramped up, my
brain feels like mush, and I just feel like crawling off in the corner
somewhere.
This is some good stuff!!! I didn't take any today and I think I'll back off on
the
dose tomorrow.

As to your question of how long the herx should last, theory is that the
flair-up
is caused by toxins released from spirochetal die-off. These toxins are what
causes
the Lyme symptoms. When you kill the bug you get it's entire load of toxin
released
into your system. I liken it to shooting a skunk!

If all goes well, the cyclic flair-ups should become less severe and you will
have
more good days. I can't say how long that will take. Recently on a combination
chemo I went through 6 weeks of torture and regained my peripheral vision. I
tried to do it again to gain more ground, but I just couldn't stand the
toxicity. I
also feel CS will be much more effective than pharmaceuticals.

I have also had the hearing problems that you mention to include: tinitus,
hearing loss, temporary total hearing loss in one ear, hypersensitivity,
ringing, hissing, buzzing, etc. It seems to be improving and I believe,
is reversible.

Since I started CS I also notice much less fatigue. I have been living on
dextroamphetamine for years, just to get through the day. Over the last
week I've cut my dose to 1/3. My goal is to rid myself of the half dozen
pills I take to get through the day, and get completely well. With God's
help I will get there.

I wish you the best in your recovery. Keep us informed on how you're
progressing. There are many that have been banished to the prison
of Lyme Disease that are desperately seeking relief, and hearing stories
of success can be very up lifting.

God Bless,
Jeff
